He’s the top catching prospect in the minor leagues!
Your absolutely right, but the issue with Montero is that defensively he is supposed to be brutal, and may be forced to switch positions. They have another top catcher in their farm (Romine) that may not be the hitter Montero could be, but may be better all around. So because its NY and the win now attitude you cant escape all together (though cashman has done a better job of keeping his chips) I see them trading him…now I hope its not for Fausto Carmona…that guy will crumble in NY
The Ray-Red Sox game has been postponed with the decision coming at 3pm, several hours before first pitch.
LOL —> They just don’t want to go 2-10.

This was called due to the Redsox personal weather service, not the NWS, seems like they are trying to give the sawx some rest

Why do they need a personal weather service? Retarded.

Phillies fans booed worth? SERIOUSLY? I’m sure a lot of them would turn down a 300% increase in pay to remain in Philly.
I honestly can’t even fathom even the slightest bit why they would dislike Werth for signing here. Philly fans are retarded.
re: Hamilton’s injury - surprised it took him this long, dude is made of glass.
There were those in the media who took it upon themselves to start a “Werth is a dick who probably would piss on your mother if given the chance” campaign. Anything he said was twisted around and taken out of context as proof that he always hated the city and, more importantly, its fans.
I really wish I could stand up for my fellow Philly fans on this one, but I gotta agree with you here; completely retarded. I don’t understand what would motivate a person to intentionally purchase seats in RF purely to berate Werth, either. I really hope that he is welcomed back to CBP with the cheers he deserves instead of the petty bullshit I saw last night. Disgraceful!
Without making this into a thread about Jayson Werth I just hope every single fan who booed could say with a straight face they would turn down a 300% raise to do the same job in DC they’re currently doing in Philly
(I keep saying 300% because I’m assuming Amaro would have offered something like $40M over 3 years, 1/3 the total he got here)

Here’s a .gif of the robbed run that lead to a loss.

Damn Raj your on a rampage lol.
Has anyone noticed the inordinate amount of oblique injuries this year:
Jason Bay, Erick Aybar, Freddy Sandoval, JJ Hardy, Dioner Navarro, Jon Garland, Corey Hart, Evan Longoria to name a few

It’s fun to see the “best” team in the league struggle.
Just look at what all these experts predicted: ESPN predicts the 2011 baseball season
all but one predicted the Red Sox to at least represent the AL in the World Series.
Im happy I picked up Brennan Bosch, Jayson Nix and David Murphy.
I also suggest picking up Mike Aviles I believe he will have a breakout year, 2 doubles yesterday
Pujols, Liriano and Granderson are absolutely killing me!

I like Bosch a lot if he can keep his playing time. Alex Gordon has also been great. Ogando and Harrison (SP’s on TEX) are lighting things up as well.
You ever going to sack up and get back into the NFL thread? Also, you still owe me an avatar change. I might have to see what Iron Dwarf can whip up.
Lol bro, Im reading bro, I dont know anything about college football, so Im using that thread as my info for the draft!
Shit dude I was hoping you forgot about that bet…double or nothin?

I dont know if this deserves its own thread but I am big on fantasy baseball, and woudld like to exchange some ideas. Here is some success I had recently with some fantasy sleepers.
If any of these pitcher are in your fantasy league unclaimed, i encourage to pick up:
Clayton Richard- 15 wins last year i believe, a very low ERA at Petco, a great home record, great guy to start against anybody at home.
R.A. Dickey- Great ground ball rate, wont get you a lot of K’s, but he eats up a lot of innings, good for leagues that gives you points for a quality start, he will get at least 13 wins this year i would say.
Tim Stauffer- He is RP/SP eligible, snagged a spot in the rotation for the Padres.
Anybody else having some success with guys you picked up on waivers after your draft was complete?
Yeah. Kyle Drabek, Yunel Escobar, Brennan Boesch Johnny Venters, Ryan Madsen and Jordan Walden (holds count for as much as saves in my league). Plus my last two picks were Jaime Garcia and Ike Davis.
If you guys had to pick a divisional opponent to have on your team, who would it be? I would totally be all over Troy Tulowitzki. It’s pretty damn hard to find an all around shortstop as good as him.

Are we going by what our team needs or just best overall player?
By need I would go with A-Rod. If we’re considering more than this season then Evan Longoria
By best overall player I would go with Dustin Pedroia

Yeah, him or Matt Kemp. I think I’d go with Tulowitzki only because he grew up a few blocks from me.
Dude, that interference call pissed me the fuck off. They would lose that game if I remember correctly.
Bautista is about to break out of the slump man, don’t worry, it’s gonna rain bombs out to left field. lol

Only problem is he can’t stay on the field a whole season (multiple season Tulo fantasy owner here).
I’d Hanley Holliday.
Jays almost got Tulowitzki :((
Denard Span couldn’t work out a predraft contract with the Rockies (they offered him 2mill) so the Rockies ending up selecting Troy Tulowitzki instead and the Jays drafted Russ Adams (I’m not sure if he’s even in the MLB anymore).

Hah yeah, it was awful. Entertaining game though.
