yankee fans on T-Nation, come out. dont go running and hiding now. this is an example of a true loser.
Burnett is just as likely to throw 7 shut out innings as he is to get rocked with 4 runs in the first 2 innings. Yank fans never know what to expect outta that guy.

Yep. I don’t think he’ll drill someone on purpose but he will throw a wild pitch or two. I can see him hitting victorino in the back foot. Then victorino will prance around like a little mary. Did anyone see his face smushed up inbetween those earflaps right before he made the out at the plate, what a gay.
Pedro will go 3.3 5 earned. It’ll be a complete slugfest.

Lol, Victorino put his game face on and charged at Posada who was too much of a pussy to take part in such an awesome collision. I’ve got money saying Posada is currently washing the skid marks out of his pants.
But don’t forget that by the time Sabathia face the phillies he had already made about 5 starts in the amount of time most people make 3. Sure, he’s a huge guy but that kind of workload can take a toll on anyone.
A couple of years ago Sabathia was set to face the Red Sox in the play-offs. I think he was playing for the Indians at the time. I said the Sox were going to win the game because Josh Becket was an unstoppable force. Someone , I think it was Dollar Bill, said Sabathia was just as likely to dominate as becket. I said no he isn’t and was proven to be right.
This year it’s Sabathia who is the buzz saw and that’s not going to change. When a pitcher gets on this kind of roll he will stay on the roll. Sabathia will be dominate regardless of rest or workload. The only way that might not be is if he gets the World Series jitters. Yeah, like that’s really going to happen. The man is ice right now.
My call here didn’t turn out so hot. CC just keeps running into bigger buzz saws. Cliff Lee was just amazing. He looked like Pedro or Orell Hershizer in their primes. He also looked like he could have taken a nap out there. Oh, the yankees, ho hum. A-Rod, yawn. He owned them.
Chase Utley. There’s another man. No, maybe not a man at all. Someone should check his DNA to make sure he’s human. Did any of you notice the ball he pulled foul right before his 2nd home run? Up and in heater with two strikes, not even in the strike zone. Lefty to lefty and the guy yanks a line drive that almost stayed fair. Other hitters pray to catch a piece of that pitch, not almost get a hit out of it.

Being from Philly, I’ve seen how human Chase can be sometimes, but I’ve been saying for awhile he’s got one of the quickest swings in baseball. Last night that quick swing worked out pretty well for him.

Lol, I’m not hiding. Nor am I a Yankees fan.
Yes, the phillies won a game behind Lee, whom I said would be thier best chance to win a game.
Last time I checked it’s not a 1 game series, loser.
So your excuse is we won behind lee. Lee kept the yankees from scoring…but we did bat in 6 runs my man. Whats the excuse for that?

Utley got burned by the umps all night. But the saying goes that you can’t let the umps decide your fate. They were consistent with their generous strike calls. Burnett just chose to take advantage. The nature of Pedro’s style means that he generates more swings from the batters, thus leaving less for the umpires to impact.
What Burnett was doing was not lucky though. You’re a typical uneducated fan from philadelphia. I can guarentee you didn’t know dick about the Phillies before they won their division a few years ago. You’re clearly someone who jumped on the bandwagon. You have no real knowledge or appreciation for the game. Calling either game lucky is simply ignorant.
The only thing lucky in the game was that the Phillies even scored one run. That ball is in Arods glove 9.9 out of 10 times.
