Perfect execution is subjective
but dropping pop ups and fly balls in the WS on a night with no wind issues is embarassing. There are errors, and then there are ERRORS.

Yea but Im not talking about the quality of the pitching.
That can always be chalked up to good hitters out performing the pitching staffs over a period of a week. Unless pitchers are balking 5 times a game and walking runs in, high scoring games arent the sole product of bad pitching. The pitching has been up and down in this series particularly. Nothing terrible and two great performances from Holland and Garcia.
I dont care if there are high or low scoring games. I prefer to watch clean baseball. If I wantd to watch clowns dropping routine fly balls I’d watch a high school game or an arod blooper reel.
I’d say we’re off to a good start.

I did really want Texas to win. But I can’t take away anything from the accomplishments of the Cardinals. To comeback from 10.5 back in August to winning the WS is an accomplishment to behold.
Damn TX. I just felt TX just kind of give up in the last 3 innings.I saw a Braves like approach, swing and hope; not grind and fight. Not the the “Fuck you, give me a pitch or I’ll hit fouls all night long or take my base” That’s not Texas’s game, but the way they lost last night set the stage for tonight. They let it affect them, they did not let it go and it cost them in the end.
Welp, I guess I can concentrate on football full time… I already miss baseball. It is my first love and will always be.
Predictions for next year: Red sox will be irrelevant. Yankeee’s will go out in the 1rst or 2nd round of the play-offs… The Phils and the Braves will compete for NL east, but the Braves will blow it like normal. The cubs will suck like normal. SF will be back in the hunt. The Card’s will not repeat (Puljols gone for $$$). KC will star strong and fizzle in mid season. The Nat’s will be the dark horse that steals it from the Braves but will amount to nothing special in the end.
Texas finally wins the WS on the 3rd try against either AZ or the Miami Marlins.
