Dude, Im not even a fan of any team playing tonight and I was glued to the screen hanging on every pitch. I cant imagine how crazy it was for sox, rays, braves or cards fans
Dude you forgot Yanks fans. We hate Boston.

Fuck that team. I was rooting for the Rays the past 3 days and can’t believe what just happened.
I felt weird rooting against the Yanks. So I just rooted for a one game playoff. Let them sort it out themselves. I was happy the rays won though. Fun team to watch if you ignore upton.

Watching papelbon get owned is highly entertainig and gratifying. That guy’s a dick

Can’t stand that stupid look on his face when he’s pitching.

Son of a bitch.

FUck!
Dude, that was one of the best nights in baseball I’ve seen and it was a regular season game.

holy shit.

Just watched Sportscenter.

The icing on the cake was seeing how the Rays were behind 0-7, and seeing all those fans leave… wow, so very very epic. Also crazy was seeing that guy on the Rays who bats .108 or something shitty, hitting a home-run on the last pitch to put it into extras.
strungoutboy21 wrote:

Nah, what I posted last page is the general notion amongst the sane people, the sox have no heart outside a couple of guys.

No one wanted to see them squeak into the playoffs just to gte swept the first 3 games either.

Ultimately we are just angry and wondering “how do this happen”. So it is like every year before 2004 around here, and it is about fucking time.

I’m so sick of the pinkhat fair whether bullshit fans it isn’t even funny. I’ve lost interest in the team due to the fact they can be down by 4 runs, and just given up the lead and the stupid fucks will play “Sweet Caroline” and the crowd will jump around for joy. They are losing you stupid over-privileged retard, stop fuckign cheering about shit you don’t understand.

Fuck this team, fuck Theo, fuck Fenway park it is a shit hole that smells like piss with seats that are too fucking small, fuck Tito for allowing this shit attitude to foster in the locker room, fuck Lackey close your mouth you stupid clown, and Crawford can suck a dick for 20mil a year. What a douchebag, like a black even more over paid DL Drew, oops I mean JD.

So no, no one wants to kill themselves. They are just angry.

Yea I wonder how many of them will admit to it at work this morning. They should be banned from all future Rays games.

Def looking fwd to Wilbon & Kornheiser today…

Come on now. You are saying Boston fans did not want their team to make the playoffs because they felt they would just lose in the playoffs anyways? I don’t buy that. Remember years ago when the Cardinals won the World Series, they backed their way into the playoffs. They played like shit down the stretch then turned it on in the playoffs. Anything can happen!

Now that the series are set, who does everybody got? I say Yankees over Tigers in 4. Rangers over Rays in 5. Phillies over Cardinals in 5. Brewers over Arizona in 4.
I dont know i can see the Yankees in a dog fight with the Tigers, they are not the Twins. They need to win with C.C. on the mound and that will be tough vs. Verlander. The rest of the starting pitching for both teams is pretty suspect. I think this will be the closest series. The rest of your picks I agree with. Brewers Phillies in the NLCS would be fun to watch.

Although I think the Phillies are going to make it to the World Series, I would love to see the Brewers make it. Out of all the teams in the playoffs, they are the ones I would like to see win it all.

^^ Agree with that. They went all in this year and this will basically be their only year to compete. They traded away all of their premium prospects to acquire Greinke, and Marcum and so far it has worked. They won their division for the first time in 20+ years.

Prince Fielder won’t be back next year and even with him this year they are not close to being the favourites to making the WS.

I’d also throw in the Rangers into the mix of teams I want to see win. I’m sure most baseball fans want to see Josh Hamilton win a title.

lol, Don’t take it THAT literal.

Look we knew the end was coming, better to have it now, then look like chumps in the playoffs.

They have no heart, they have no leadership, and they have no pitching.

Theo needs to get fired, or demoted back to ball washer.

COme on man… He is only 4 years removed from bringing a championship. I agree he has made some bad signings. Lackey at the beginning of his decline in a park that does him no favours, and Carl Crawford a guy who has shown to have no fit on this team. But still, Theo has been a pretty good GM, drafting Dustin Pedroia, acquiring David Ortiz, Curt Schilling just to name a few.

Does anyone know the rules on a rain delay in the post season? It’s supposed to rain like crazy in Philly on Saturday.

Happened in the 08 world series. They resumed the game from where they left off the previoius day

As someone on the outside looking in, of course you see it that way.

From someone who hears about this shit daily, he needs to go, now. He has made more bone head moves than good ones. And the few you listed, make up the majority of the good ones, while the bad ones you listed, are the tip of a much larger iceburg.

I think “he” (not sure how much input he really has) drafts well, I will give him that.

Here you go stat junkies.

Thought this was cool.

It was agonizing for me. We’re used to watching the Braves fold in October, not September. They have been playing like shit all month. We count on people getting hot, we have no strategy. Why we pitched to Pence when we had a .141 hitter on deck, I’ll never know.

Then I woke the next morning with an intestinal virus…

From here, I really like the Rays. I think Joe Maddon is the smartest manager in all of baseball. I like Texas as well. I don’t think the Yankees have the pitching to make it all the way. I think the Phillies can easily win.

Ya I bet man. When Chipper hit that drive to center in extras with Bourne on base I thought it was over. I wanted Chip to get the game winning hit, so close.

As a Rangers fan I’m a little worried about the rookie Moore they’re throwing today. I feel like he could be anywhere from Josh Beckett in 03 to Rick Ankiel’s splendid rookie playoff performane. If Joe Maddon doesn’t win manager of the year something is wrong. agree the Yankess pitching is pretty bad after C.C. Good bullpen though.

Don’t worry, it sounds like they are going to put the blame on Francona and get rid of him. Although they are saying it’s a mutual agreement. I agree with you that is is partially the GM’s part for signing those overrated players.
