MLB 2011 Part Two

Interesting article on this years Giants: These aren't the 2010 San Francisco Giants

Also, tonight is the first night we play the Marlins since the whole Posey incident…

Eh, he didn’t say anything we don’t already know about the Giants this year.

So I heard the Giants broke an unusual record the other day.

The Giants have hit 20 solo shots in a row breaking a record held by the Dodgers since 1914.
On another note, Belt got called back up today and Torres NOT Beltran was put on the DL. Good news.
How do you think getting constantly called back up and then sent back down to the minors affects a guy like Belt who is considered to be a good prospect?
I don’t like it at all. He should have been up the whole time last month since Huff REALLY struggled in July. Huff’s been swinging it a little bit better lately, but Belt could have been getting a lot more at-bats in his place when he was struggling. The kid needs MAJOR LEAGUE at-bats now, not Triple A shit. He’s gotta be here to stay at this point, I’d think.

PSA: Lincecum is NASTY. That is all.

Wow. Belt just two impressive bombs. The first one was an opposite field shot over the 434 mark in left-center by about 20’. The second was a 95mph fastball from a lefty that he yanked halfway up the bleachers in right. He HAS to start tomorrow against Hudson in Atlanta.

^ I will probably catch a good chunk of that game.

I was just about to say the same things. Great to see him off to a start like this.

I know it’s pointless, but I just keep thinking of how our lineup would perform if we had Posey, Freddy Sanchez, and Beltran. Would love to see that.

For you fantasy leaguers, do yourself a favour and pick up Edwin Encarnacion

Sad to see Uggla’s hit streak end. Not that I’m particularly attached to him or anything, but I really found myself rooting for the guy just because he had such an awful start to the season. Good for him for turning things around, hopefully he starts another streak next game.

Just got back from celebrating my 21st in Tampa. Went to Mons Venus, among other places. Had never been to a strip club before this weekend. Was fun for the first few hours/dances, but I got kinda bored…I can only have so much fun when I know it’s just business. There were a couple girls who weren’t the hottest ones there, but were craaazy fun. One girl was just drop-dead gorgeous, easily the hottest girl I’ve ever seen naked (lol) but you could tell she just hated the whole thing. She was pretty nice after I told her it was my birthday, but I think I got “her best.” Saw her giving a guy a lap dance later, and as she was leaning over with her tits in his face, she was having a conversation with another girl. It was pretty funny. All in all a good time, but I would never be a regular. And jesus christ, most of the men there are just sad. Fat, old, and SMELLY. holy CRAP there are some disgusting ass dudes. I can understand why all the girls have blank looks on their faces most of the time.

This is what happened to me at the club too. I started to think about the whole thing too much and it ruined the fun.

I have him in one of my cash leagues and he’s been a great waiver wire add

Tigers have acquired outfielder Delmon Young from the Twins for minor league pitcher Cole Nelson and a player to be named later. A corresponding roster move to add Young to the club?s 25-man roster will be announced prior to tonight?s game at Comerica Park versus the Twins (coverage starts 6:30 on FSD/HD).

Pretty crazy they would do an inter-division trade. They must really believe in this Cole Nelson guy.

Being traded to a team youre currently playing against is extremely awkward.

If you need further proof that ESPN nuthugs the Yankees, Red Sox and Phillies look no further than the mountains of coverage for Jeter’s 3000th hit and the lack of coverage for Thome’s 600th Home run.

Remember there have been almost 30 players to reach 3000 hits in their careers, and only 7 to get to 600 home runs.

Proof Skip Bayless is an idiot

HAHAHAHAHAHA OH BOY, I picked a good choice to watch my first full 2011 Giants game.

So how do you feel DB? Does this describe it?

Hopefully no one in this thread needed further proof

Such bull, Wilson just gave that away.
