Mixing Carbs with Surge?

I’ve read an article by Thib where he says using rice with it after training works well but I was thinking more along the lines of a Vitargo, Waximaize product.

Also I’ve been on a very low carb diet for the past year and 3 months and in the new year I’m gonna start to cycle carbs, not for bulking, but the method where you use a High carb, Moderate carb and Low carb diet and apply them appropriately to a training day or a non training day.

Has anyone used this method of Carb cycling before and what results have you gotten from it?

Carb cycling is very effective for long term gradual gains, and especially effective if you have trouble gaining bodyfat while putting on size. Waxy maize producs are very good in my opinion, mixing rice with Surge would not be the same. Look into Justin Harris and the rest of his nutritioniss for some people have great success with carb cycling diets.

Just a heads up, and Thibs has reiterated this numerous times…

…as soon as you start adding other ingredients to waxy maize, you decrease its speed of absorption, rendering it about the same speed as other carb sources, yet you are still paying the increased cost.

So for waxy maize specifically, you’re better off using it alone and ingesting the other ingredients sometime afterwards.

There is certainely a threshold to what you can add to WMS, the person who as far as I know has done the most research with it(Justin Harris) states that once you cross more than 1/3 “other” stuff in the mixture do you begin to significantly slow the gastric emptying. It’s not to be treated like dextrose where you add 50 grams of protein, just the essentials should be added in there.
