THat video of MIsha is good but I prefer Poundstone’s rep strength on this 800x9

You’re more impressed by Poundstone pulling fifty pounds more, for one rep less, bouncing and hitching his reps, while wearing a suit and belt than you are with Koklyaev pulling fifty pounds less, for an extra rep, with a long pause after each rep, without wearing a belt or a suit?

Different strokes, I guess.

I don’t know how this thread turned into a debate. The video is one of the best performances of a deadlift that I have ever seen. Maybe it is not the best of all time, but who cares? Did you see Richard Hawthorne pull 500 x 10 @ 120 something? That was awesome too. Not every video is going to be the most amazing thing you have ever seen, but you should still be able to appreciate it for what it is.

Well… he competed in strongman, never did too great, but I can’t think of any other athlete who is or has been as well rounded as him, while still being super competitive in whatever he does. [/quote]

Two year ago (2010) he finished 3rd at world’s strongest man, along with lots of other top 3’s at big shows.

Hands down, the strongest guy across the main 3 strength sports (oly, pl, strongman). Also pretty good at some of the HG events. Misha would OWN the super total (oly + power lifts)
