Hey guys I recently have bought a pair of mini bands off of elitefts and intend on using them on DE bench days. However Im a little confused on how to “double up” the bands unfortunately my gym doesn’t have a rack with band pegs so I’ll be looping them under dumbells.Sorry if this is a newb question but I can’t find anything that thoroughly explains the setup.
Youtube “how to set up bands for benching” - if you don’t have pegs, I have done the following things at my gym:

Choke at the bottom railing of the bench the one that goes under the pad (this is good cause it will keep the band center of pulling right on top of your) OR choke at the perpendicular railing that is at the top of the bench (this sucks with tons of band tension cause the bands will pull you off towards your head)

Get a very heavy dumbbell, choke or double them up through it, then lay a 45 lbs plate ON TOP of the dbell and get the bands through the center hole. Attach the bands to the bar. The 45 or even 100 lb plate if you have them is a must, otherwise the dbell will roll to the side once you apply a lot of pressure, or worse, fly off if it is not heavy enough.

just like this. If your gym has the hex DB’s you prolly won’t need the 5’s to keep the DB’s from rolling around on you like in this pic
i have a set of 100lbs hex DBs and they have worked so far for doubling up to monster minis using lights from elites.
that was just the pic i was looking for thanks strength and Im gonna try pulling the bands through the center hole on a plate on my next DE day
you can loop under the bottom of the rack itself, too
