Because sex and procreation are different things, like walking is different from moving from point a to point b.
Yes there are. And pharmacists who refuse to dispense it.
And doctors and pharmacists who don’t teach proper usage
“Everyone has remarked that in our day … paternal authority has been, if not destroyed, at least altered.”
Alexis de Tocqueville, 1830s.
Kids have been disappointing their parents for a while now.
(This wasn’t an entirely bad thing - moving from aristocracy to democracy also meant that “the distance that formerly separated a father from his sons has diminished.”)
@BrickHead - I’m reading Democracy in America. I feel like you’d maybe enjoy it.
Go ahead and give me a % on that.
How many?
The problem is you are trying to impose how you reason upon people who are not like you. Everyone knows how babies are made. Men and boys, women and girls, know what condoms are. If a female is so ignorant about sex she engages in it unprotected and has a child, how many passes do you give her? You would think after the second or third kid she would have learned, no? Having been around many single mothers and their kids, I can tell you that most are just dumb as shit. They don’t have any ambitions that a pregnancy would make more difficult, if not impossible, to achieve. They don’t think about the obligations that come with being a parent. They don’t have any concept on what parenting even is. They are morons. Some are legitimately mentally handicapped. I know of a woman who has had multiple children with multiple men. She is what we used to refer to as retarded. That didn’t stop the men from having sex with her. Her kids are all mentally disabled as well.
When I was teaching in an inner city school, I had a freshman student who was pregnant with her second child. She didn’t get the message after having her first one? And her parental rights to her first kid were terminated as she obviously lacked any parenting skills. The father of her first kid was also the father of the second one. Her mother was OK with her getting pregnant by this guy, who was an adult, because she liked him. Her mother was the one to whom the state gave the first kid, which meant she, in her mind at least, hit the lottery as she would be getting money to help raise the kid. It’s a common ghetto scam. You get more money as a foster parent than you would if you just got welfare. This is how these morons think.
You think about suffering kids while for these people, that idea never enters their minds. The way they live becomes the norm. Maybe it’s a human coping mechanism.
In liberal run inner cities?
I fall on the side of statistics are meaningless to the individual.
I understand the point you are making and it isn’t ridiculous. But bringing IVF into it adds no logical support to the argument.

Exactly which is why I stand by what I stated…
as a society have basically created reverse Darwinism
Bleeding hearts will say ‘What about the children…’. What about survival of our society as a whole?
A great movie / take on what we are actually doing in an exaggerated fashion…
Regarding the original “soft” point of topic, and generally speaking, it is true (and evident) that millenials feel entitled to safety nets following their own shitty decisions, even at the cost or potential detriment of another.
I do believe this mentality can make it to the “objective” list mentioned earlier.
doctors and pharmacists who don’t teach proper usage
It saddens me that this generation who has more information at their fingertips than pre-internet kids by far, don’t look how to properly take birth control. More education? I think we might be talking about more “hand holding.”

I had a job where I made a mistake and was berated for it. I haven’t been trained on that particular task, and retorted that “I didn’t know I didnt know.”
Knowledge is useless if its just there. Education and hand-holding are not the same.

Did you lose any income as a result? If not, I don’t see the problem. As I see it, you got your feeling a little hurt (so what), and the person who berated you looks like an idiot. You cannot hurt my feelings more than me looking like an idiot hurts them.
When these new generations get disciplined they want to pop off with some excuse. Here’s why it wasn’t my fault, listen to my mitigating circumstances.
Boomers want you to say “yes sir” when you get berated. If you watch old movies, sometimes the mean boss even piles on extra BS like personal attacks and makes the subordinate agree to them.
Older people might see younger people as soft because of this difference.

No, although I should have reported that place to the labor board since my clock-in and clock-out times kept getting adjusted.
The point isn’t about my feelings, I leave them at the door- it’s about mutual respect, standing up for yourself, and calling people out for unreasonable expectations.
And people who feel comfortable ignoring those basic levels of respect need to be called out for being idiots.
speak Your truth!

Well, that whole generation all has fetal alcohol syndrome and lead poisoning.
I should have reported that place to the labor board
I absolutely abhor shoulda, woulda, coulda. What did you do?
And people who feel comfortable ignoring those basic levels of respect need to be called out for being idiots.
Just curious, did you actually call him an “idiot?”
it’s about mutual respect
I have always felt that respect had to be earned. You don’t somehow become entitled to respect as a birthright.
From my perspective your reply to me seems more like an excuse.
I know most everyone in America disagrees with me, but that’s where we are. So be it.
that whole generation all has fetal alcohol syndrome and lead poisoning
As in every single person? And you left out asbestos breathing.
