You have absolutely no idea what I’m studying and even less about my career aspirations. I went to school in Morocco, got a Master’s degree there, had a comfortable job (+35,000$) but decided to go ahead and perfect my education.

What I’m doing now (Organic electronics) is rather bleeding-edge and is inexistent in even so-called industrialized countries. Sweden happens to be the world leader in the industry and that’s the reason of my presence here.

Now, since you ask why I didn’t attend school in the Middle-East, it got me thinking that you’d have trouble locating the countries we’re discussing on a map. Keep in mind that my mom is French, lives in France and I had the option of working or studying there. I didn’t because I figured that I won’t be learning anything new in cultural or linguistical terms.

I’m single, healthy and better educated than most to say the least. To quote Timbuk-3: “The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades”

Your retoric and attempts to frame the discussion between narrow points simply isn’t working. You don’t seem to undertand that. I don’t buy into your attempts to paint the US as a terrorist state and your continued rant shows nothing more then frustration as opposed to reason.

I see you missed the point about framing your arguments. Pointless to continue if you can’t comprehend.

The point about your prospects was to point out the brain drain that happens in your part of the world to those with options. You are simply further proof. Fix your problems before offering opinions on others. Your hardly in a postion to call anyone else narrowmided.

I still don’t see why you consider the US support for the Shah tangental to the issue. Is it that hard to admit that it was wrong to overthrow a democratically elected guy and replace him with a bloody dictator?

You’re confusing issues here. I would never have the audacity to criticize your wealth care system, worker unions or anything else that does not affect others. However, I find it a duty to denounce the tragedies that were (and still are) caused by a foreign policy gone mad. The US happens to take a lot of heat because it has and still is doing lots of bad things. I denounce the lack of good will from Morocco to solve the Western Sahara issue and would do the same to protect innocents from a bully country. France has done some bad things too that range from colonizing others, fighting wars over economical interests (e.g: Suez) to helping Israel make nukes. But now they’re OK. Actually Chirac has the best image among Western leaders and I’m sure DeGaulle’s refusal to join NATO has played a role in that.
