I didn’t feel well yesterday so I trained today. I got a wild hair up my ass because a buddy of mind, that is much stronger than me in everything but the deadlift, posted a pr video that I managed to just see shortly before going to lift. I had to at least match it. Probably should’ve added 5 lbs to rub it in but oh well.

no assistance. I didn’t get much sleep last night. Instead of going heavy, I increased the volume a bit.

It’s been a rough few days with family issues going on. I had to get in and get out today.

I had a death in the family a couple days ago. My head isn’t on straight at the moment. I’m still getting to the gym but everything feels difficult. I took a day off yesterday to sleep and I didn’t eat much.

This was a rough one. I’m trying to push myself a little harder because I’ve been backing off of assistance work due to family things going on at the moment. The session went well, but my mind is all fucky right now, so I have days where I don’t want to do shit, so I don’t. I’ve been hitting all my training days, just not always on the day I planned to do them.
300x20 felt horrible after about 12 but I had 20 in my head, and I’m honestly surprised that I hit it.

Long day. Wasn’t feeling too great. Had a funeral this morning. I managed to hit an ugly final set on squats. I was dragging ass coming in but managed to have a pretty decent squat day considering.
I havent logged on here in a bit. Still training. My schedule has been hectic so I’ve been doing what I can but no videos or anything. This is where I left off after last week.
My last workout last week was bench press.

Is that deadlift stance comfortable for you? It looks like from this angle that your knees are caving in to be able to stay inside your hands. Personally, I would either make your stance a little more narrow (conventional) or kick your feet out a tad and bring your hands inside your knees (semi-sumo/squat stance). It might be worthwhile to just try it out and see if it feels any better.
Otherwise, looks like you’re putting in some good work man. Keep it up!
I’ve noticed it. My feet aren’t much more than shoulder width apart. My hands are roughly one palms length away from the smooth part of the inner knurling. I’ve considered spreading my feet apart but I’ve never pulled with my hands between my legs. I actually feel comfortable with my feet where they’re at. I’m generally just not strong. I notice it when I’m going for max reps, heavy singles, and when I don’t drive my heels into the floor. I’m such a beginner that I figured it would fix itself as I got stronger.
