Mick Hart: Any Good?

While always on the hunt for knowledge on gear I find myself stumbling across a chap called Mick Hart. Guys in the gym seem to know the name. Some people say he has a good approach to the topic and enjoy his writings and others say his advise isn’t worth the pages it’s written on.

The question I’m asking is: Does anyone have any experience with this chaps work, used his advice or read his Laymen’s Guides?

I bought them out of interest. not worth much. it is really basic stuff (any not very long, most of the terxt is him jerking himself off about what a champ he is). you can learn more on this site in about 30 mins. I would skip it. The chris report is decent if you are looking for a beginers plan to follow but the rest is too basic for anyone that knows how to read and do a search for the info on this site.

me and a friend paid for the Chris report and found it to be over hyped and unhelpful

I would personally recommend formulating your own programs afyer sekking advice on T nation, save yourself some cash.

Damn, maybe I should write a report/book and make some money?

Bushy[/quote]

I am only suprised you haven’t yet

I was thinking of cutting and pasting all your posts and making it into a book anyway

Ha ha ha - the Bushy file. I’ll buy it!!

Just seen a video of Mick Hart… Guy’s in a bad way too. Hmm, I’m going with the T-Nation swatting and other literature…

Thanks guys.

The laman’s guides are just that…guides for people who don’t know shit about juice and the info is not even that good. I bought it expecting a lot more than was there. It could have been reduced to about 3 pages easily. The chris report is interesting and again not a terrible plan for a total nube that wants lean the basics of contest prep but you will find much better and more current info on this board and others. You will learn more from 10 mins on the steroid newbie thread on this board than all his stuff combined.

my 2 cents…don’t waste your money or your time on it.

Bushy … depends on the price but I would buy. You have the exp I can have the wisdom from it LOL so when you getting started?? Ill take a copy no shit.

Personally, I cant fucking stand that retard Mick Hart.

HOw this guy ever got to be considered a “guru” is absolutly beyond me.

He has a very basic, very limited knowledge of AAS. The best he can offer is some very basic advice to absolute newbies who dont know shit about juice…of which there are many is suppose.

I havent read the chris report, but I have seen some of the stuff Mick has reccomended in the past and I dont think I’m outta line by saying the guy is borderline retarded. 6 week deca only cycles??? WTF?? Yep, I’ve seen him reccomend a 6 week deca cycle to someone looking for a light cycle with minimal sides. Anyone else see anything wrong with this type of advice?

I’ve also heard him talk about GHB and that when he took it it was the most wonderous fat loss aid in the world and within a couple of days the fat had fallen off him…but then he got addicted, blah blah blah. I’m gonna call absolute and total bullshit on this one. I’ve done my fair share of GHB and I can categorically say it doensnt do shit for fat loss. The “supposed” and theorised reason for any possible fat loss from GHB is that it may boost GH levels. EVen IF it did (which I am aware, there is no evidence that it does), does anyone seriously think the boost in GH would be subtantial enough to cause the fat loss he talked of? Absolutley not. Just another example of Mick Hart crying out, looking for attention and making himself seem like a guru by making outragous statements.

Also, I just plain dont like his writing style, manner or tone. He writes like an adolescent schoolboy (and apparently that is the demograph that his advice is aimed at)…with his columns usually filled with jokes on sex and blowjobs etc. Of course, those things dont offend me, but if you want to be considered a guru on ANY subject you are going to have to write with at least moderate civility. You can still write in a down to earth, understandable style without sounding like a fucking schoolkid.

ANd then theres the manner in which he considers himself some kind of amazing coach. He pimps his “chris project” as some sort of groundbreaking amazing transformation. Well, it’s true that chris looked a lot better post project than pre-project but I dont think it’s unreasonable to say many people could have done the same with a bit of self discipline, a reasonable level of knowledge and work. With the assistance of AAS and otehr drugs, I reckon ANYONE could make those gains. IT doe NOT make Mick Hart some sort of expert coach/guru.

The guy is an immature and loud mouthed self-proclimed guru with a limited knowledge of AAS or asscoiated drugs. I have yet to hear a single scientific argument from him. It’s true that many of the things he says are correct…that doesnt make him an authority on the subject though. MAny things I have heard him say are also way way off and borderline outrageous. If this fuckin asswipe can get paid for writing on AAS than anyone can.

In short, save your money and dont buy the chris report. In fact, dont bother reading ANY of his stuff. It just make my eyes hurt. You’ll get far better advice on this forum (especially from Vets like Prisoner and bushy to name 2 - there are many more) and from reading articles by individuals with ACTUAL knowledge, qualications and authority on the subject (such a Cy Wilson).

If anyone managed to read through this entire rant without getting bored than congratulations! haha.

CD, is it fair to say you don’t think much of Mick Hart then? he he!!

Seriously though, thanks for taking the time to put your point across. This is a view that I am hearing a lot from people now and I am grateful to have had two sides to the guy so I can make my own choice on whether to use his books etc.

I’ve started swatting up again as I have shown in other threads I’ve not done enough and I can honestly say I will NOT be seeking advise from Mick Hart.

Maybe we should invite him to discuss on the forum??

ha, I doubt he would accept the invitation though!

Just as an example of some of his advice, I took the liberty of going on to his blog (a blog I would normally avoid like the plague) and here is one of the first bits of advice I see him handing out to a newbie on a proposed cycle:

“Personally I would go nice and simple to start and see how you get on. Go for say a shot of Propionate 250mg every 5 days but every other shot add shot of Deca 200mg - this will not be to much at all and will boost size quickly…Keep it like that for about 8 weeks only.”

Anyone who knows anything about the half life of steroids can see that this is drastically incorrect advice. One shot of Prop every FIVE DAYS! Can mick say the word “fluctuation”…because thats whats gonna seriously happen to the AAS levels in your blood.
And one shot of Deca every TEN DAYS!! Again; serious fluctuation.

On top of this he is telling people to run a short ester compound with an extremely long ester compound and assuming that the effects of both will manifest themselves within the same time frame (ie. 8 weeks). Is this guy fucking nuts? I mean, saying Deca will “add size quickly” is total bullshit. The advice simply makes no sense at all.

I’m sure his response, if he were here, would be “no, but it works…mr. x added 10 pounds with this cycle”.
Yes, it will work. But that is not the point! There is a good way to do things and a shit way to do things. Mick Hart consistently advises people on the shittest way to do things. Of course his methods will get results with newbies (a newbie will probably gain some muscle with AAS no matter how badly he takes them…within reason), but his methods are grossly inneficient. On a rank of 1 to 10 (10 being great advice, 1 being complete shit), this would probably rate around 1.5.

True to what I said earlier, one of the first things you notice on his blog is a cartoon of a guy going down on a woman. Is there really any reason that this picture should be included on this supposedly “educational” resource?? NO…and it had absolutley NOTHING to do with the topic being discussed on that page. Well, perhaps there is a reason; to entertain the legions of immature teens who form a large majority of the people who are ignorant enough to read and take his advice.

In addition, I also notice that he CHARGES for his forum. So, for the priveledge of getting this wonderfully shit advice from a guy who obviously doesnt know what the FUCK he is talking about, you have to PAY for that priveledge. Wow, thanks Mick!!

He then goes on to attack other bodybyuilding boards for being populated with uneducated idiots who will only hand out ill advice. Of course, only micks forum has the “experts” educated enough to hand you out Sterling advice, such as the cycle he proposed above. I wonder if Mick san say the word “hypocrite”???

These are the reasons I cant fuckin stand the guy. I really cant understand how he has managed to get himself to a position where people actually treat him like he knows shit.

Y’know, I would love to see that mick come on here, for the sole reason that his bullshit advice and rubbish theories can be torn to shreds by people who actually know what they are talking about.

I will give him one credit. He advises newbies to start with low dosages (although sometimes a bit too low, I would think) instead of the over the top first-cycles you regularly see posted. But that is where my respect for this self proclaimed expert ends. Granted, I have never met or talked to the guy, but I cant treat a guy who hands out advice like that and writes with the sophistication of my 12 year old cousin, with any degree of respect.

At least if this rant convinces at least one more person not to treat Mick with any degree of seriousness then this rant will have been worth the time. The sooner this guy drops off the face of the planet the better.
