She’s Le Buff enough.

Have you thought about running for funniest guy on T-Nation? I l’ed ol.

You’re definitely one of “those women” I’d like to wrestle mostly nekkid.

You slay me. I was just thinking she needs to work on her fore arms.

I think I’m getting 'shallow, superficial cunt" tattooed somewhere. Since I’m well below 20% I’m that cool

I’m surprised at the reactions other people get. I don’t think anyone has ever said anything to me. Maybe the bitches are all talking behind my back.

I have a few suggestions.

Yeah, her wrists look kinda frail, too. She must use straps for DL’ing. Unless she does Crossfit.

Anyway, who cares??? This is just another example of “How much muscle on a woman is too much?”

Funny, I was thinking he might want a prescription cream for the loin fire.

Darlin’, I believe you hit that status long before 19%.

(And yes, for all you people who think I’m being a bitch, it was a compliment.)
Don’t worry, Steve’s not here to kick ass defending my honour

Yes, but then you often think of cream for the loin fire.

Stop hating

If THAT is the Jeannine Stein who wrote the article (I think it is, even if she lives in NY), then I’m not surprised at the distorted perspective.

Clearly, Miss Stein looks like an orca, so she would think Michelle Obama has a desirable physique.

Now, if I’m wrong and that photo is not of Jeannine Stein, I bet that most of her friends are orcas.

Yeah, I really want to smack every dumbass that says their physique goal is to be “toned.”

Good investigative work there Ponce!

Yeah, “toned” makes me cringe.

Have you not seen this thread?

Men are problem solvers and chick-identifiers.

Toned is right there with:

hubby - degrading
preggers
comfy

But that’s another discussion. I got pissed off just typing those out.
Yeah, I agree with “hubby” and “preggers”, as far as the other I never really thought of it though I don’t think I use it either
“Toned” kinda annoys me and make me roll my eyes, I just keep thinking that they have no idea what they are talking about when they say that and a 5lb weight really isn’t going to do it.

well she does have dark skin, so its easier for you to see the muscle. Thats why people put all that shit on them before a show right?

Look at corey magette when he’s sweating, he looks ripped.

yah i heard she has a 225 bench and curls 60s for reps of 20

Questions like this always kill me, the quick and easy answer is she is the first lady her husband just took office and they are the first black family in residence.

So what is hard to belive she is getting publicity? Second she does have nice arms she does appear fit and at her age and lifestyle kudos for that.

Lastly the majority of women her age with a modicum of her busy life or not don’t come any where looking that fit they all look 10 yrs or older than their true age and carry high BF percentages etc. All the enablers can come to arms over that but it’s a fact I can walk into any office mall etc anywhere in the country and am surrounded by tons of women (Men too actually) who have obviously to be cliche let themselves go.

So the first lady takes care of herself good for her and how is it her fault or problem the media has picked up on her arms not jacked by BB standards but better than the flapping wings of the Moms picking up their kids at my boys school.

I just got back from the Gym it’s about 12:28am and without fail it was full of all the middle aged women who are ashamed to come during the day with their stretch pants oversized Ts and love affair with the recumbant bike before straining endless herky jery reps with the 5lb DBs yet the first lady gets slammed for finding time in her whirlwind life to look fit.

Something wrong with this whole picture.

Yes im sure her life is super stress full.

NOT

I don’t think anyone here is mocking her. Okay maybe a bit but just in fun. It isn’t about her. It’s about the media and what they say about her. She is absolutely in decent condition particularly for someone with her current obligations.

We are mocking the media that is saying she is buff. She isn’t. She’s fit and healthy looking. All it does is underscore your point above about the fat ladies and their pink dumbells. Because that is the norm, rather than the exception, the first lady looks buff by comparison. It’s a sad state of affairs.

I’d like to throat punch whoever said she should cover up her offensively muscular arms.

x2

Plus her forearms are freakishly thin.

Wow, she writes fitness articles for the LA times.

High standards out there huh?

That’s like hiring an interpreter for deaf people and not asking them if they can sign.

Retards.

I’m actually surprised that I’m reading here on T-Nation that you folks think Michelle Obama is fit. That thought has never crossed my mind at all. Actually, I recall thinking on several occasions that now that she is the Presidents wife she’s going to have to get her butt (big butt that is) into the gym and start shaping up. Her husband is the most influential man in the world now, he’s got lots of options (if ya get my drift) so she’d better shape up and not go the Hillary route.

Just my single opinion…

She doesn’t exactly strike me as being “in-shape” in this photo.

Edit: Let me clarify. I’m not saying that she looks “fat” really but I wouldn’t identify her as being what the regulars at T-Nation call in shape.
