please take into consideration that NONE of the participants were allowed to change anything during the entire challenge. So even if we were wanting to cut cals, do more cardio, or add an ECA, it was all out of the question.
So this 1-3% drop you see is by changing nada. I would imagine if you actually tried to cut some fat, of course, the results would be better.
I am on my last bottle. I alternated 3 weeks at 2 doses, and 3 weeks at 3 doses. By the end of week 2 I noticed more definition and the beginning of the 3 lbs I would lose during the Challenge period. I have not noticed any difference between the 2 and 3 dose periods. I followed the same exercise and eating protocols. My lifts have progressed, indicating there may have been more of a net weight loss had there been no muscle gain.
Two doses was easier to manage as both could be done at home. For the 3 dose periods, the last 2 doses on each day were a bit close together. I use an oral syringe to measure each dosage, and since I am employed in a drug-tested office I decided not to bring anything to work. The net result is my pants fit looser in the waist, my shirts are tighter in the shoulders, the mirror shows better definition, and I have received several favorable comments about my upper back.
Methoxy-7 is a great success at double dosages. Is Biotest planning a Challenge for any of its new products? Maybe a rerun of 4-AD or Mag-10? If so, count me in.
I just finished my last bottle. I wasn’t that impressed because I expected better visual results. That being said, I put on 2-4lbs of lean mass since Dec. 1, while eating hypocaloric. I use HST and went through two cycles duringe Methody Challenge, and I noticed a pronounced strength increase over the twelve weeks. FWIW: The only problem I encountered was my BMR dropped from being hypocaloric (so long in order to get consistent results), so I upped my calories for a month and returned back hypocaloric only recently.
What pooh said. All of what I saw (gains), I can sincerely attribute to Methoxy. Since, due to the Methoxy Test, I didn’t drop calories or add anything new in the way of supplements.
Thanks for the feedback. I can see how the hardening would be a nice effect. So for those using Methoxy and unable to make changes in diet, were you on maintenance or above-maintenance diets?
OK, here goes my results from the double-dose, but be warned…I had good results from a half a dose of Methoxy.
I used the double dose on a hypocaloric diet, after a one week Mag-10 cycle. Did I follow Mr. Robert’s recommendation and allow a week to cement my gains? No, I didn’t, because I wanted to start the challenge right away. Not only did not having that week off not really hurt me (as I was able to maintain almost all my gains), I dropped the fat that I had put on with the Mag-10 cycle quickly. I also added 2 extra pounds of LBM while on the DD and I was hypocaloric.
Now, I have done a cycle of ahalf dose of Methoxy, a cycle of a single dose, and now the double dose cycle. Now, this is where I tend to differ from some people. For me, I don’t believe the DD was better than the single dose. I had almost identical results using the single dose cycle that I did earlier. Therefore, I think taking the DD is kind of a waste of a perfectly awesome product and the current label recommendations should stay what they are.
VCreed, I really don’t know, because it’s not well understood how the active compound (Hydroxy-7, or 5-methyl-7-hydroxyisoflavone) works.
The same compound without the 5-methyl is estrogenic. Adding the 5-methyl eliminates estrogen-receptor-mediated estrogenic activity. And for sure, one can take any amount of Hydroxy-7 and there’s none of what anyone thinks of as being an estrogenic effect.
However, estrogens can do things besides via the androgen receptor. For example, there’s a compound which is a pure estrogen receptor antagonist, at all estrogen receptors everywhere under every condition, yet it still has part of the bone-building activity that estrogen does.
My guess is that estrogen has some anti-fat, pro-muscle activities that aren’t mediated by the estrogen receptor, and Hydroxy-7 takes advantage of these.
Could this somehow have an effect on sexual desire or performance? Perhaps; certainly estrogen is related to that.
I could also mention here an observation I’d never posted before because, frankly, I was concerned due to no one else ever reporting the effect, and if I’m the only one it happens to I just look stupid by claiming it, but Methoxy-7 gives me an increase in testicular size. Whether T levels go up concurrently, I don’t know. Take it for what it’s worth, which is nothing whatsoever if it didn’t happen to you; but if you did have that effect also then it could perhaps be related.
Methoxy-7 is a favorite product of mine. I don’t even know what to say about its effects on fat loss, or muscle building – but I just feel great when I take it. Just remembering how great I feel taking it makes me want to take it again; I’m currently off in order to have a better idea of how Hot-Rox alone affects me.
The bone-building effects are very desirable to me. My mother and paternal grandmother both suffer from osteoporosis, so whatever genetic factors may be present are not good news for me. Also, when I was young, I was very skinny, not active, and had low calcium consumption; thus I probably wasted a lot of those good bone-building years.
I hope Biotest will never stop selling Methoxy-7, otherwise my bank account will take a huge hit when I try to buy a lifetime supply!
