I just ordered some Metabolic Drive, Metabolic Drive Complete, Chocolate Surge, and a 24 pack of Spike Shooter.
Kinda bummed that the Superfood and Alpha Male are STILL out of stock though… I’ve liked Alpha Male in the past and was hoping to see if Superfood was worth anything.
Metabolic Drive Complete tastes better than Low-Carb Metabolic Drive, it has more carbs and gets fluffy if you blend it for over 30 seconds.
I don’t know why more people don’t use Metabolic Drive Complete instead of Low-Carb Metabolic Drive. The carbs are negligible because 8 of the 25g are fiber.

Metabolic Drive Complete is a superior product to Muscle Milk. They really aren’t even comparable in my opinion.
This is true, and all it takes to make this claim objectively is a quick scan of the ingredients labels.
And for the record, I enjoy using both Metabolic Drive Complete and Muscle Milk. I also wouldn’t compare a straight protein powder like Low-Carb Metabolic Drive with either of these MRPs.

The taste of Metabolic Drive Complete is the the same as the Low Carb version
No way.
MDC tastes better than Low Carb, it has more carbs and gets fluffy if you blend it for over 30 seconds.

Very true, its actually 23, 8 of which are fiber. And really, for the same amount of protein as a serving of Low-Carb Metabolic Drive (20g) its really only 11.5, 4 of which are fiber, so 7.5g carbs per 20g protein. Since you only need 1/2 serving of Metabolic Drive Complete to equal the protein of Low-Carb Metabolic Drive. If I got my protein from here I would get the Metabolic Drive Complete, but I buy optimum nutrition.
Most of the muscle milk bashing is unfounded. I have used many cytosport products and have no complaints. The only difference between muscle milk and Metabolic Drive is mm contains fats and md contains carbs.
I used to love the taste of muscle milk chocolate, but since my taste buds have been conditioned to Metabolic Drive I think mm tastes funky now. Although sometimes I still use 2 scoops of md and 1 or 2 scoop(s) of mm for nighttime shake and love the taste.
I will second whoever said that using just muscle milk at night results in a more groggy feeling in morning verses Metabolic Drive. I thought it was other factors, but kind of interesting someone else has the same issue.

How are people relating drinking MM at night with grogginess? there’s nothing in there that would cause such a claim.
ever think that it could be another issue all together?
I never experienced anything like this.
Another thing to remember. Muscle Milk recently changed their formula that 1 serving now has 300 calories down from 350 (reduced fat) and they also added 5 grams of fiber.

I agree and am always surprised when someone says they like the taste of MM. I mean I could drink it I had to, but it’s definitely not something I’d enjoy.

I always assumed it was some unrelated factor as correlation does not imply causation, but since someone else pointed out that mm also causes him to be more groggy in the morning I thought that I would also put it out there and see if there are more similar experiences.
I know muscle milk has improved their formula, and I still use on occasion 1 scoop mixed in with Metabolic Drive for my nighttime shake. But if i consume 3-4 scoops (1-1/2 - 2 servings) of just muscle milk there is a noticeable difference in the mornings.

I used to ask the same question, why was Metabolic Drive so superior to a protein like muscle milk. I had purchased a few tubs of MM from an amazon deal for ~18/each. I also had a tub of Metabolic Drive. So what I did was do MM for 2 weeks, then switched to MD to see the difference.
When used during the day, I didn’t really notice the difference between the two. But in the shake before bed, thats where Metabolic Drive really stood out. I’d wake up with more energy and felt less sore. It was really a huge difference. So much that I’ll never go back now. Try it for yourself.
I was just seeing if other similar experiences like this have occurred. Muscle milk is probably the most popular protein supplement and I’m guessing nearly everyone here has at least tried a tub or two so if no one else reports similar grogginess then the issue is only related to phong21 and me. Then it is water under the bridge.
I used to be a big fan of Designer Whey, thought it tasted awesome. The first time I used Surge it blew me away. The first time I used Metabolic Drive however I thought it tasted nasty, for some reason. Because the second time I used it, it tasted pretty good. Dunno maybe my body after its first tasting realized “hey this stuff is great lets make him think it tastes good”.
Now After having used Metabolic Drive until the first bottle was gone, I tried Designer whey chocolate again, and it doesn’t taste the same as it did, not bad but not as good as I thought it was. I guess Metabolic Drive changes your taste buds somehow because its flavor and nutritional profile are superior to most powders out there.
