Menu for Bulking

Would someone be willing to critique my menu for bulking? I’ve been bulking for awhile, but I’m just trying to tweak my diet. I’m a vegetarian.

For breakfast, I eat oatmeal with peanut butter, rice milk, whey and a banana.

For lunch, I usually have a big burrito from Chipotle.

For an afternoon snack, I have a bunch of peanuts.

For dinner, I have baked beans, cheese, and veggies or another burrito.

Any suggestions? Please avoid the lame comments about how vegetarianism and body-building don’t coincide. I’ve heard them, and, for the record, you’re wrong. So, that aside, I’d appreciate some feedback. Oh, and on a side note, my calorie intake is high (I’m gaining weight), so that’s not an issue.

If you’re gaining weight then no one really needs to critique your diet.

I am, however, curious as to what are your primary sources of protein.

And are you lacto/ovo or no animal products?

Please avoid the lame comments about how you are not a dork. I’ve heard them, and, for the record, you’re wrong. So, that aside, I’d like to say if you don’t want people to tell you that you are wrong, don’t start it by saying they are wrong.

If you weight 250 lbs that is a horrible, horrible diet. If you weigh 105 lbs you will probably gain on it.

In other words, we need to know what you weigh and what the totals are for the cals and the break down. Don’t expect us to go look it up for you, you need to do the leg work. Go to www.fitday.com then come back with the numbers

I’d recommend three things. First, why drink rice milk if you’re also eating cheese and whey? The old “squats and milk” adage could help you a lot. Secondly, you’re only eating 4 times a day. You could fit some more feeding opportunities in there. And third, it might benefit you to learn about which food combinations are create a complete protein (rice and beans, etc.)

Your diet does look rather carb heavy, so don’t forget to take bf measurements as well as weighing yourself.

I’d also like to hear your reason for becoming a vegetarian. Religion, PETA member, personal taste preferences, hot vegetarian gf. . .
