Meganewb (George Leeman) at 6'3

I seriously don’t understand why there is so much hate on these forums. But tbh it’s not even just these forums. It’s all over the net when it comes to bbing, pling, weightlifting in general. I sometimes think this is the most jealous-ridden, bitter, and just downright hateful sport/hobby in the world.

What I wouldn’t give to have people like “Meganewb” to train with.

Where I can find that interview?[/quote]

Google “George Babyslayer Leeman” and you should find it. I won’t link it directly because he really seems to hate T-Nation.

It’s weird, because I was lurking around at the time and I mostly remember any criticism coming out of concern for his weight. A quick skim over his training log seems to show unanimous praise. Maybe there was a lot of stuff I missed. Anyway, good on him.

Nevermind, George is a beast.

This. I just posted in the last 24 hours saying I read it and thanks.

EDIT: Welcome themileshighlife.com - BlueHost.com

For the people who cant go back a page!

Thanks Ben.

George may hate T-Nation but the authors are big boys and I’m sure they can take criticism. Personally I owe a lot of my knowledge and success to T-Nation but I have also always been quite good at staying out of the shit-flinging; but anyway the purpose of the interview was to focus on the positive aspects of mental strength, and what it takes to really stand out.

I owe a lot to t-cell members not Shugart, Waterbury, and whatever anti-anything program they create.

The pictures of him standing next to the pro bodybuilders blew my mind a little bit. lol

A few of the old CT threads for beginners & on those programming & then looking at t-cell discussions for bodyparts & looking through of that bodybuilding bible thread gives anyone a pretty rounded view on a proper bodybuilding programme… IMO

what an inspiring thread, as i am also a bit on the chunkie side trying to become OMFG WTF DOES HE EAT MUSCULAR KINDA BIG.

I wonder why people like Meganewb, Brandon Curry, and X get/got so much hate while guys like Synergy and Stu don’t. Not trying to open a can of worms here. No shitstorm intended. Just couldn’t keep this thought to myself.

People have a tough time taking things at face-value on the internet.

Many people wanted to call Brandon Curry a troll. He had an incredible physique and a lot of people thought he was either a liar (in many capacities,) or a guy who was genetically gifted as FUCK and they were probably jealous, haha.

Newb got shit because he got really, really fucking fat, and defended it. This lifestyle (and website, to boot) is extremely apprehensive to jump the gun about anything fat-related, so that’s where most of that came from. He did have a pretty bull-headed attitude too, but that’s probably what also led him to success.

X… not touching anything related to Professor X politics with a seven-hundred thousand-foot pole. I have no issue with him and I’m sure you know anyone’s criticism(s) of him.

Synergy and Stu are as accomplished (if not more, actually) with physique or athletic endeavors, but are also very humble and very willing to give a helping hand. I’ve never seen anything Stu or Synergy has posted that has ever raised a shit storm or controversy on that website. Which is something that the other three you posted can’t really say, to be fair.

Just an objective observation.

All of the shit this guy has gone through is really paying dividends for him. I’d be interested to see where he is 3-5 years from now.

Yeah I agree with you. I just couldn’t keep my thoughts to myself. Too bored:) I also thought that the picture of Newb posing next to Curry was really funny and ironic lulz. Kinda like they were giving T-Nation the finger which sparked the initial thought.

i found King Beef’s “Do this routine instead of that dumb one” really helpful too.

Exactly this. Obviously everyone mentioned knows their stuff, but some people cant take notice of some information if they dont relate to it. I think ALL of those people are important to the site, and if the attitudes weren’t as diverse, I’d not get such a complete view of this subject and how to achieve what I want to achieve.

Shame he didin’t get into American football

725 x 9 DL

wut?

Where does he stand in terms of strength? Like I’m pretty sure he’s stronger than Stan Efferding, by watching both their vids, not to mention he’s freaking 20.
