We all know McDonalds is bad for your health. In Japan, they’ve launched MEGAMAC which is like a double BIGMAC. Its 4 patties - 10oz. Enough to give you an instant heart attack!

The Japanese ads though are pretty cool. Different from the crappy ones in the States.

The Big Mac has the smallest patties of beef out of all of their sandwhiches. 4 patties might just equal a double quarter pounder now. The only difference in meat between a Big Mac and two small hamburgers is the extra bun on one sandwhich.

Yup. Unless they’ve changed things since I worked there twenty years ago, Big Macs are made with ten-to-one patties, just like the small burgers. Four of those are just 6.4 ounces of beef (weight before cooking).
A couple of weeks ago I tried one of their new 1/3 pound “angus” burgers. It wasn’t all that.
10 ounces of beef is not so much. Of course, this is very fatty beef and the burger [and the bun] probably has a lot of trans fat and not just natural fat.

Um, its not only in Japan we have these in Canada and I get them all the time. Prof X is right, I would say there is no more meat in this then your typical quality restaurant burger.

I agree here. They should really change the name of the sandwich, since it’s not really that big anymore.

Just thought I would open my useless bag of knowledge here. The patties are in fact 10-1 or ten patties equal one pound of meat, before cooking.
Also their secret sauce is nothing more than mayonnaise + ketchup + pickles. I worked there for three years, and it was the worst time of my life.
Although it did give me the inspiration to go back to college.
Just my 2cents
