Meaty Guilt

I like this one:

All of God’s creatures have their place;

Right next to the potatoes, gravey, and vegi’s on my plate!

My 15 y/o daughter recently was put on the PETA mailing list somehow. Probably from the school directory or one of her liberal friends. Lucky for me it pissed her off. SHe reads the propaganda and then comes up with her own cleaver phrase to compete with it.

Peta doesnt try to sway adults to their way of illogical thinking, they are trying to get our children before they learn how to think for themselves.

Fact: Believe it or not, those extra two billion are NOT my offspring.

Fact: I have not had nor do I plan on having any children.

Yeah, I think I’ll be eating all the healthy, organic food I want.

Eating meat is not wrong.

But animals are treated poorly on many if not most factory farms.

It’s one thing to kill and eat the animal, that’s the food chain in action.

It’s another to essentially torture it throughout its entire life (debeaking, dehooving, no exercise or even the room to move at all, bad air and light, whatever else), raise it under unhealthy conditions that require the use of antibiotics to keep it alive, and to feed vegetarian animals the rendered fat of other animals in its feed [note: fat is where estrogen mimics and other toxins tend to be stored, so feeding animals fat theoretically increases the number of estrogens coming into your body and none of us want that.]

So I think that eating meat is not wrong in itself, I do so every day. But there are some bad and possibly unhealthy practices that go into delivering that meat to our tables.

Oh i believe they are not ur offspring. producing offsrping requires mating. haha na but seriously, it was just a response to that whole moral dilema about how animals are treated. They are basically products for consumption. better to maximize production at the cost of animal “rights” then starve off billions of people, right?? If you have the money and you want organic food, go ahead man. more power to you.

P.S. makkun, we do use the whole animal. we eat most of the meat in whole form, or ground up. we use the leather, we use the hooves(glue) , we even make low quality protein shakes out of the blood that goes down the floor grate!! (bovine serum???)gross, but thats how it goes. the more profit they can make the better, so as much of the cow is used as is possible

“Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while [Cornelius & his servants] made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down on the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.”

“And a voice came to him, ‘Rise Peter; kill and eat’.” Acts 10:10

The Lord gives humans authority to eat animals yet allows us to maintain a clear conscious. I’ve never felt guilty for eating meat except when breaking the ancient Christian fasting customs during Advent (Christmas) or Pascha (Easter) and other sacred periods throughout the year.

Secondly, don’t put too much emphasis on what PETA barks about - they’ve proven themselves to be nothing but a hypocritical group of bird-brains. PETA’s president suffers from diabetes and her injections are derived from animal matter - yet she’s completely against any animal experimentation, even that with the potential to save human life. Is she willing to die practicing what she preaches and by sparing further animals from death so she can attain her medicine? Thought not. Freakin b*tch!

Peace be with all!

What happens to the organs?

If you have issues with using animal products, then good luck! This is what we use cows for, aside from eating and wearing:
B L O O D

Cell culture laboratories
Bovine serum albumin provides a wide variety of macromolecular proteins, low-molecular-weight nutrients, carrier proteins for water-insoluble components, and other compounds necessary for in vitro growth of cells, such as hormones and attachment factors. Serum adds buffering capacity to the medium and binds or neutralizes toxic components in the growth milieu.

(fat derived from meat, bone, hooves, and horns)

Edible tallow
Used in shortening for baked goods and in combination with vegetable oils for frying foods. Also used in chewing gum

Inedible fats and oils
Various industrial tallows: Top White Tallow, All-Beef Packer Tallow, Extra Fancy Tallow, Fancy Tallow, Bleachable Fancy Tallow, Prime Tallow,Special Tallow, No. 2 Tallow, A Tallow, Choice White Grease, Yellow Grease

So, vegans need to stop driving cow cars on cow tires on cow roads, etc, etc, etc. Otherwise, you use dead animals EVERYDAY.

Wow ToShinDo!

Gotta give a hand to a guy that does his research.

I felt, since I was a kid, that media helped shape the “Bambi” attitude towards animal treatment. Humane treatment of animals seem to be the worst treatment of animals. We assume we know what an animal needs. Bad thing for humans to do is to assume we know what someone or something else needs because we are “higher” on the evolutionary or technological plane.

What did I say? Well here’s a short version- Screw Disney, giving non-existant human traits to animals.

Do animals live longer in human captivity or human care because we prevent them from being killed by their natural predator?

Best story about animal preservation I’ve heard was about some endangered or sick otter or seal that was “nursed” back to health by humans. There was some big ceremony held at a beach to let the animal free. So it’s released, hits the water and next thing you know- the natural predator comes up to kill then eat it.

THE HORROR!

With all the nutritional talk about saving a billion people. How much of my taxes goes towards feeding a surplus of human lives walking around happy that they were kept alive and part of the billions that could have died because of non-organics. Technology helps people live longer, but cannot feed or support the many who have nothing. The natural resources are most likely lower in supply due to technological advancements in medicine. But they do not pay for the expenses.

I am pretty sure the Lord wasn’t referring to a factory farm full of antibiotic-injected chickens with their beeks chopped off that were raised on a diet of rendered chicken fat without the physical room to turn 360 degrees.

What’s the difference?..and why don’t people ever complain about cruelty to insects? Have you ever bought Bug Spray? Why?
