Meat Binge

So today’s dinner was crazy.

It started out perfectly normal: me sitting down to my hot plate of chicken and vegetable stir fry, with a bowl of fruits within arms reach. As usual, I was contemplating the mysteries of the weightlifting universe as I bit into a particularly juicy thigh.
However, I made the mistake of clipping the iPod to my ears, and to my dismay, Havoc Unit starts playing. The tranquil flow of training philosophy that drifts through my head is immediately ripped apart, and in it’s place a torrent of bloodthirsty images scalds my mind. My head is filled with visions of garage gyms, corroded iron plates rattling through reps of deadlifts, the muffled scream as someone locks out their bench press, and the echo of throaty cheers when a PR is reached.

Before I know it, I have ploughed through nearly 2lbs of pure meat (a lot for me in a single meal). My plate is stained mess, a past visage of a fleeting moment of pure meaty carnage. Even now I wonder if I really pressed the ‘play’ button at all, or whether the Meat Gods knew my time had come.

Has anyone else had any such experiences? Any meat orgy lovers around here?

oh most definately…Ill easily consumer 2lbs of buffalo in one sitting. screw vegans! PETA, people eating tasty animals!

I’ll eat a lot of meat in one sitting, especially true now that I’m on the anabolic diet, but not in the mindless fashion you mentioned.

Kudos.

hell yes, eatery near me does a very nice 36oz rump steak, 2 jacket potatos, veg and salad. for a very reasonable £12.99, thats bulking.

In high school I used to make a lot of spaghetti. I would cook enough spaghetti to fill the bowl and then add the sauce and a full 1 lb of hamburger. Then eat it all in on setting.

1 lb of hamburger is some of my carnage or take me to Tony Roma’s and I’ll eat them out of their ribs. lol

Gerdy

yeah; this place near me has a 36oz “giant” steak. well i ate mine.

ate half of my little brothers, and my mum couldn’t finish her medium sized steak. so i ate that too.

And i was one happy boy.

I eat at least three meat meals every day, and when I eat I tend to go really nuts. On Valentine??s day I got really lucky with the restaurant and managed to score steak tartare as an appetizer and filet mignon as an entree. I’m also a big fan of game meats and oddball meats, so when I travel I tend to sample all of the crazy local meats.

I did once make the mistake of eating duck every night for a week while biking through France, not realizing that duck is almost all fat and no protein. That fat would have been great on its own, but without a big protein meal at night–and no eggs in the morning!–my leg muscles got ground into jelly.

My weakness is hardcore BBQ…I go once a week and gernerally get 1lb brisket, 1 rack of ribs, 1/2pint of beans, and coleslaw. Just found a new place this week where the 300lbs southern guy mans the rib pit, in a field, behind the trailer they sell BBQ out of…such a wonderful place.

BBQ for the win.

When I think meat feast, I think BBQ. Pulled pork, ribs, sausage and chicken platter, with beans and greens (collard) for fiber.
