First of all I got your moron and dumbfuck!
Second in this video there is a 16 year old who is being jumped by a shit load of kids and being beat with some sticks and all kinds of shit. Your hear people in the background saying stop. If someone in the background would have pulled out a gun and shot one time in the air. This 16 year old kid would probably be alive to tell his side of the story. Me and most people that I know, If we hear a gunshot we get the hell out of dodge. No one wants to be shot or shot at. Sadly I have been shot at protecting this country that most of you live in including you Mr. FightinIrish26. What if this 16 year old was your son or even you. We all can say what if all day everyday. Who really gives a shit about “what if’s” if it didnt happen. What if you were 280lbs of muscle. I know you wouldnt be on T-Nation being an Internet gangster. We all have our opinions about right from wrong. Some of us are survivors and some are just victims.
Negro, please…you continue to use the presence of a gun as this almighty crutch. If enough of those bystanders had the balls to step in and keep that dude from being beat to death,he would still be alive. Don’t act as if some negligent fool shooting a firearm in a crowded area is the most logical answer in that type of situation…as I think you have better judgment than that.
And you were shot serving your sworn duty…not necessarily to protect any of us. That I “fight for you” persona from soldiers is turning into a tired cliche. I respect those that serve and fight…but don’t over do it with the bullshit.

Negro, please! Damn. Funny. I dont think I said I was shot. I said shot at. Learn to fucking read first. Well obviously I wasnt in this video, but I stand by my comments. This whole thread started by me actually stating what would have happend if I was jumped. I will handle my own with out a gun anytime, but if a shit-load of people jump on me its another story. You must be from the suburbs of somewhere in Texas to not know where im coming from. But anyway I stand by my statements and thats the bottom line. I would never shoot a gun into a crowd of people what does that prove, that I are a dumbass like the little shits that started this whole thread in the first place.
Also dont speak about what people in the military do. Until you have been in there shoes you really cant comment on that. People die everyday for dumb shit in the US and overseas. Im not using that as an excuse for anything.

Yeah,I live in the “suburb” of Fort Hood,TX…much better than Stop Six area of Fort Worth…and North Tyler,TX. Go ahead and make more assumptions.
Put it this way,if you make the same assumptions about people in real-life as you do here…it’s no wonder you got butt-hurt over some punks mean-mugging you.
But it’s no big deal. After all,it’s your world, bro.

You’re right Big Boss, I usually get annoyed if someone says “thank-you” to me for doing my job. Because ultimately joining the military was a selfish act. The military role is romanticized because the government knows very well that in order to get fresh bodies, it needs to make it seem like an elite stature-raising position - and civilians gobble it up as much as the ones that join do.
They also know that when it comes down to it you don’t fight for your flag but for the guy to the left and right of you - and they exploit that fact by forming tight brotherhoods, slapping on a fancy uniform and telling some dumb kid they are heroes; ensuring convertion and also giving the individual the capacity to kill.
Just keep in mind if it weren’t for volunteers, the government would drag you out of whatever job you do and force you to fight.
I’m so glad I’m not living in an area where saying ‘hello’ to one of the local thugs can be seen as “weakness” or even “disrespect.” What a screwed up culture. Which is why I do not miss Atlanta for even a second. I’m sure it has nice gated communities though.
But we all agree that if you do decide to carry or own a gun you should be well trained on how to use it and in what circumstances to use it. Like Bodyguard and others have been alluding too, you need the mental factor.
And we need do something about stopping teenagers from having access to firearms.

Have you ever been jumped? Tell the truth.
Yes, 2 times.
At the age of 17 by some old ass men. Had nothing to do with me. Because I was related to someone who did something to them.
In a club in Fayetteville, NC because I kicked somebodys ass in a barbershop. 7 stitches in the lip and hit with a bottle.
Not a good feeling but its something that I never want to experience again. I have been places where people just dont like you because you are not from there. Its a messed up world that some of us live in but thats just the way it is. You cant control the actions of people around you but you can just about always control the actions of yourself.

By the way, I want to add my murdered friend was “harder” than most of you here. But he was still no killer. If I presented you with the situation (and even him if he were still alive), to a man you would all say you’d have come out blazing guns. There is NO doubt in my mind he WOULD have said the same thing.
Well, some stick up kids came to his house, and being emboldened by the “power” of his gun, he met them outside - his small daughters were inside. He didn’t call the police and stay inside ( which was the reasonable thing to do ), the stick up kids weren’t breaking down the door. No. He WENT OUTSIDE HIS HOME, gun in waistband. And he was gunned down. True story. Happened in Allentown PA. Shooter got the death penalty.
We can sit here and quarterback all day what he did wrong…but the fact remains, that gun makes a lot of people feel powerful…and real life happens in heart pounding seconds, not in the cute leisurely minutes it takes to make an internet reply…and we all make mistakes. ANY mistake with a gun is one you will regret for a long time.
No offense to your memory of your friend, but that was fucking stupid. You obviously know that from the way you made this post, but in that situation it would never even occur to me to go outside the protection of my home.
I agree. But in his mind, he was confronting a possibly bad situation away from his kids. And no offense taken - he was a stupid motherfucker to start carrying and I warned him of this. If he doesn’t have a gun, he probably don’t go outside - this is a perfect illustration of what I mean by feeling “empowered” by a gun.
