The old man’s biceps ain’t too shabby. Does he lift?

Without knowing whether he lifts or not, I’d say he’s in pretty lean shape. Looks like you have pretty good genetics from here…

My daddy never hugged me:(

Sorry man, I don’t know what your beef is with the genetics. Your dad isn’t the Hulk, but he looks like he’s at least put in some time. Not to mention the age difference between you two. You’re lookin’ solid though.

Why are you Utahpower if you’re an Okie?

ahaha.

Stats and everything are on another thread…

My beef with genetics, i’m tired of hearing kids saying that they can’t gain weight. I think Prof X says it best, EAT.

I’m in OK for law school. I powerlifted in Utah, hence Utahpower242, Utah powerlifter, 242 weight class.

Old man lifts and runs. He runs 3 miles a day, and does some light lifting. He doesn’t have a routine.

What he’s getting at is even if your parents are skinny (genetics), you can offset it by eating lots and putting your time in the gym.

Awww…that’s a great pic of you and your pops.

Adam…come over here honey, I’ll hug you!

This is the “Rate My Physique” section. It is not the “Rate My Lifts” section. If someone looks like they could go pro but they can’t bench more than 135, it really doesn’t matter. Someone’s lifts should have no bearing on how you rate their physique’s aesthetics.

Look at the way Charles Glass trains his professional clients. He barely has them doing half their bodyweight on the Lat-Pulldown. On the Hammer-Strength Leg Curl he’ll set up their body position so they only end up using a 5 pound plate…then he’ll have them doing Stiff-Legged Deadlifts with a 55 pound bar.

Look at some of the weights Lee Haney uses in his training. With the exception of some presses, he doesn’t go heavy on anything but he still managed to win 8 Olympias.

Look at Dexter Jackson. When he does Deadlifts he only uses 225lbs and does them in a Smith Machine. He looks amazing.

I remember one guy who had some of the best Quads I’ve ever seen out of anyone who posts here also posted his leg routine. The heaviest weights he used on Front Squats was 205.

Getting strong is great. It’s important for a lot of things. Pursuing strength in the weight room may help you get a better looking physique, but you don’t need to be strong to have a good physique.
