MD in Toronto Area?

Hi, does anyone know of an MD in the toronto area that will test for estradiol in addition to testosterone levels? (besides the mens clinic in burlington)

I’m on Androgel for low testosterone and Im not feeling good on 5g (feeling paranoid). It also gave me nipple tenderness and gynecomastia like effects in my left nipple (radiologist said it was probably from androgel). I’ve seen two doctors for the low testosterone and I’ve asked for estradiol testing but each refused.

Thanks bros
G

Problem is you not only need a doctor to test but also to regulate… Not u will not find this easy on Ontario. Do you not likes steers men’s clinic? If not explain please?

Bare miimum you can agree to pay for the test yourself. I have done that at a rinky-dink walk in clinic on College St. I got in an argument with the doc about thyroid tests – he refused to test Free T3 and Free T4 – but I said I will pay and he agreed.

Im not sure what steers mens clinic is. Is that in burlington? I have a referral to see the master men’s clinic in burlington (which i heard good things about) but I can’t get in until the end of the year bc of the waitlist. Just looking to see what else is out there in the meantime bc the androgel by itself is giving me side effects that outweigh any benefit and I feel like the gyno in the left nipple will set in permanently if I wait much longer.

Yah, when I told one of them (royal york/bloor doc) my symptoms and that I wanted the E test, she told that theres no way that the androgel would cause amortization, and that if I don’t like being on the androgel, I shouldn’t be taking taking testosterone at all. I hope no one here makes the same mistake of seeing this *****. she was contradicting everything i said no matter what way i tried to back it up.

but i didnt think of saying that id pay for the test myself. so ill ask next time and hopefully she won’t laugh in my face

I’m going to leave you an email for a life balance Doc. I have to find it… ill add it in here…

Thanks alot… looks good from what i checked out.

I have a consultation tomorrow ill let you know how it goes.

1000 dollars for first visit and 500 every three months after that… does “seem” to know what he is talking about… He didn’t seem to keen on lowering E2 as some well known doctors say this is not important… no idea just what he told me

(Although I think he prefers topicals.)

hey how long did it take for that doctor to see you from when you first contacted him?

I never saw him. I do have a better option now. We have one doctor in Ontario who seems to be up to date on current trt
