Mayweather - Pacquiao!

Ninja, you’re a trip. The point I was trying to make is that this fight would’ve happened if Pacquio agreed to what seems to me as fairly reasonable demands. If he really wanted the fight, he woulda agreed to the test. Calling him “this humble man” as if you know him personally is comical. News flash: the VAST MAJORITY of pro athletes are shitheads.

And I don’t mean they’re mild douchebags. I mean they are complete and utter cocksuckers. And you know what? That’s fine. If you had someone telling you you’re the hottest thing since pants with pockets it’d get to your head too. But, to believe that someone is above gaining an illegal advantage based on their public persona is ridiculous.

EDIT: wanted to say that Pac comes across as a good guy and I think it’s not an act. But, the ring is still his livelihood and he has to do whatever he can to gain an advantage. You don’t bring a knife to a gunfight.

Burley is tough for me to get a handle on, because of very limited film. The rumors/stories paint him as an equal to Robinson or Moore.

I had to look this up never hearing of Charlie Burley myself, but from all the testimonials it seems to be true. It’s knocked Ray Robinson down a notch in my opinion of him as an all time great, more than if he had outright lost that fight.

ahahahahahahahahahaha bs decision it should have at least been a draw and what was with the 116-112???
Anyway Irish loses again bwahahahahhahaha.

in a toss up round the judges will always give the nudge to the aggressor over the counter puncher unless it is really lopsided or the aggressor has been hurt. 116-112 was purely based on volume of punches landed whether they did damage or not. Olympic type judging

Personally I think his power is a little overrated because of his speed an accuracy. Most of his fights he lands an enormous amount of accurate power punches. When his opponents get hit that many times square on the chin and temple one good solid blow will Knock them out. Vs Mayweather who fires much less punches and appears to knock people out with taps. Those taps must be more powerful than he gets credit for.

I thought the same, but I think Mayweather took a huge risk letting it go this far. It will still be a big payday but I think it would’ve been a better payday and better legacy had he knocked out Pac before the last fight against Marquez. Then again… maybe it was Pac that wanted to fight Marquez first knowing his draw might be less if he gets knocked out by Mayweather first.

I wonder if anybody thinks Pac was baiting Mayweather, he looked strong with endurance but his boxing skill looked weaker than ever. Either he wanted to make Mayweather think it’ll be an easier fight or Pac has some glaring weaknesses which will be hard to overcome. Mainly reach and susceptibility to fakes, as Mayweather is much quicker than Marquez. Plus Marquez was catching him with fakes all day, fakes to the body straight rights to the Face. Fakes overhand rights hooks to the body.

Wow this looks like a must read IMO for any boxing fan. Sad to think this guy was avoided like the plague by everyone pretty much and never got the credit and recognition his skill obviously deserved.

After seeing the Pac-JMM there is no doubt that Mayweather will push for the fight now, but if he doesn’t, or Pac doesn’t, this is what will tarnish their legacy no matter what the outcome of the fight may be. I can’t help but feel the major consensus will be Floyd/Pac was a great fighter but he ducked Floyd/Pac. This fight not happening will hurt them more than if it did and one lost.

After seeing this about Burley and how Sugar Ray Robinson (or his management) ducked him, the claims of SRR being the GOAT is diminished for sure.

Dude…sometimes, boxing just amazes me.

Yep, I now have zilchio interest in watching Pac fight Mayweather.

Yeah, after last night I rescind my prior comment about not thinking May could hurt Pac. I’m fairly sure we’d have a KO in 6.

I been tellin’ you bastards for how long… Pac is tailor-made for Mayweather’s style.

Now i just want to see it more to see the faker get busted and all fanboys crying

Pac isn’t a “faker”. He’s a true top level fighter who will always have trouble with counterpunchers.

There will still be some “Pactards” out there after this fight. But in a very diminished supply.

Pac fans are astonishingly quiet after this last fight.

lol i wonder why

“With that, the bruised champion with 28 stitches above his right eye walked slowly into the night, talking into a phone. No one asked whether he planned to fight Mayweather anytime soon.”

Brilliant line, New York Times.

I would’t say I’m a die hard Pac fan, but more of a boxing fan.

The grandstanding needs to stop. This will hurt boxing (like it isn’t already enough) more if it keeps dragging out this way. It’s like two little chihuahua’s yapping at each other from opposite sides of the fence, and it’s getting annoying for the general public, who are getting impatient. A little more of this nonsense and I feel like I’m going to boycott the fight altogether out of spite…

No you won’t. Nobody will.

And you can be damn sure that they know that.

May VS Pac will bring me closer to boxing since Tyson era.

i didn’t say I wasn’t a fan either lol. just not a die hard like some are. There aren’t many fighters that I actually do like in the era of boxing, but I can easily name the ones I don’t.
