Max Dose That Doesn't Effect Lipids

Anyone on over 125mg of test per week and don’t see LDL going up and HDL going down? Hemoglob and Hemacrit as well… Looking to see what the average max dose folks can take without to many numbers going out of wack, a study I read I thought I saw 125mg p/w saw no impact on lipids… Wondering if 130 or 150 would be the same.

Everyone is different. There is no magic number of mg/wk everyone can take with no change in cholesterol. You’ll have to experiment and check bloods over time.

@s.gentz is correct. Some people see a small reduction in HDL, but TRT shouldn’t have a detrimental impact to lipids.

I started at 150 and went up to 200 and haven’t seen a negative effect on my lipids. In fact, they actually got better when I first started and have now pretty much stabilized again.

What about hemoglobin and hematocrit? I’m a smoker and recently went from 1.5 packs a day to less than 10 cigarettes a day once I started Test, I know I have to fully quit though. I just checked my levels after my 3rd week and show and Hemoglobin went down 1 full point (probably from cutting back on cigarettes) and Hematocrit is about the same as prior. In other words, I want to be at the point I can take the most test without having to donate blood or worry about blood thickening. I think lipids I’ll be ok, my macro’s with fats in my diet are pretty balanced between, poly, mono and sats…

I’ve always been on the high end for those, even pre-TRT. My doctor wasn’t super worried though because blood pressure has remained in healthy range (sub 120 / 70s) even with the increase in hematocrit and hemoglobin.

What is your hematocrit and hemoglobin sitting ? i’m at 47.6% and 15.8 currently…BP other day was measured 123 over 74

Low 50s for hematocrit and 17.5 for hemoglobin.

my 5 bro-science backed cents. i give 0 fucks about lipids. there is solid evidence that higher cholesterol is good for longevity. my personal goal is to have as high of a cholesterol as I can. unfortunately i’m just barely above the range

My lipids stay pretty good even at higher doses. I have Ezetimibe on hand just in case as well. But my RBC goes way up
