I am not bullshitting you. This is absolutely true.
My mid-50s parents have requested that I find info on gear so that they can use.
Scratch that. My MOTHER asked me first, then my dad expressed interest after joining the discussion.
Now, these are not your average 9-to-5, sedentary, middle-agers. My father’s been a tradesman his entire life and my mother has been active as long as I can remember.
They’ve both been competitive cross-country skiiers and recreational whitewater kayakers for many years, and have always been the outdoor adventurer types.
Now, in THAT frame of reference, their request is more understandable. They’ve both expressed that they’re “feeling their age” and would like to know information on performance enhancement for athletes their age.
They’ve moved to a great retirement community on the West Coast with tons of outdoor activities available, but they’re finding themselves “too tired” to really enjoy things “like they used to”.
They didn’t teach this in college and I haven’t used myself, so I will be the first to admit I don’t know WTF I’m talking about when it comes to using gear.
From what I can gather from the free info online, I think I’d just put them both on Anavar for short cycles.
Mom: 5-10mg
Dad: 15-20mg
They don’t want to enter a regional master’s bodybuilding comp, they just want to be able to hike, bike, climb, canoe, kayak, and whatever else, without hurting for several days afterward.
Now, I’d assumed they’d only be interested in orals, but when I brought up injectables they were all for that as well.
I don’t know about you, but the thought of old mom and dad injecting each other with Deca in the master bedroom seriously fucks with my head. I’d rather have mom on the Anavar and dad on the same plus something like AndroGel.
This is seriously screwed up.
Any experience, info, links, or good books on the subject you can recommend would be very much appreciated!
