MattyXL's Tears in a Bucket Log

Lol I meant it exactly how it sounded, but thanks fellas.

Hmm rice krispies treats. I can eat those by the box.
Now the marshmallows got me thinking about smores grumble

LOL at the convo. Did that comment make you feel old? Simultaneously it should make you feel super young. You can now say that you’re a college student. Hit up the frat parties. Go to the bar or club and just flash your ID like they carded you.

I have a little thick guy in my gym. Well two if you count my bf lol
But the other one is cool, competed in BB and PL. He’s from NY and did the Spartan competition thing or whatever it’s called. He actually kinda acts like your little thick guy. Every gym has one I guess.

hold up though, do they “polygraph” contestants at competitions?

Sucks that your shoulders are still giving you issues. Patience my friend. If you rehab 'em right your body will thank you FOREVER. Plus, since you’re a college student you have lots of years of lifting ahead. Seriously, you do want to be able to lift for like 50 more years, right? I do.

That convo was priceless. You know, I just wonder sometimes what makes people feel compelled to say anything… let alone what they actually spit out! Some kid asked me if I was a cop a couple of weeks ago?!? Strange way to start a friendly gym chat, especially when I was watching the clock doing a GVT session.

Yeah, they can polygraph contestants. The organization I want to compete with does polygraph tests.

Why someone will do roidz and do a natural comp though is beyond me…

I def wanna be lifting till Im 80 and Im only 20 so I have 60 years of lifting left YAY ME!

Hold up veg, your not a cop?

Sorry, Crayola doesn’t make the color amazed. I have Amaranth though =D

Polygraph doesn’t make sense to me either. Doesn’t seem really reliable but at least little thick guy wasn’t smart enough to come up with a strategy to pass it.

I think you edited out like 14 or 15 times thick guy said bro

LOL yeah man it was the abridged version!

Oh how I don’t miss those guys and the my uncle was stronger than you guys. Good lifting Matty, take care of those shoulders.

One of the good things about lifting at a University gym is we don’t get many guys like that but we get extra 150lb guys curling in the squat rack so its a push.

Whenever I wach your vids, I wondered where you trained, it looks like a great facility.

I’ll add, another one of the rare perks to lifting at the uni gym filled with 150 lb squat rack curlers and benchers:

cardio bunnies

There are SO many of them! Haha

I am still really surprised at this, hypothetically if you pass a drug test what do you need a poly for? maybe for undetectable things? and then from what I read you have to pay for the polygraph! I did a lot reading after you told me that they do use em, and it seems that a lot of people think they could beat a poly, but from experience as I had a lot of “clients” use polys in a previous profession they are very accurate and very hard to beat.

Would it be a dick move to ask little thick guy why he would compete in a natural event if he knew he would be poly’d and was using something against their rules?

you should ask little thick guy, he offered up the info.
Also, tell him he is a pussy for hanging it up at 30.
Those cuban sandwiches look fucking goooooood.

Your right bro, hopefully I will see LTG tonight…

“I’m too old - I’m over 30.” Groan. Excuse me sonny, I have to go home, Lawrence Welk is starting.

Got a little, sortof thick guy in my gym. He competed in the same contest i did, was also his first. He benched instead of DL. Poor guy ran himself ragged prior to the meet, pushing harder, harder, harder, probably burned himself out. Didn’t know much about the rules - I had to explain what a singlet was. (Rules didn’t require one.) He missed the signals for 2 attempts, finally got it on his 3rd. Benched 225, was less than he could have. Was really unhappy, I feel sorry for him.

Wonder if you mailed me one of those if it would still be any good, not that I can eat it right now anyway. Looks amazing.
