I agree. That said, transgender women are not ‘men pretending to be women.’ Rather, they are women who happen to have been born with male genitalia.
What measures were in place the prevented this before?
What about men leering at other men/little boys and women doing the same? Were there any measures in place before to prevent that?
Please don’t misunderstand my questions as an argument; I am genuinely curious.
I understand you are wanting my statements to be arguments, so I suppose I could offer an argument (at least my perspective) that you can agree or disagree with.
My first premise is that perverts and pedophiles make up a small percentage of our population.
If you find that premise agreeable, my second would be that, within that small percentage, there will be both male and female perverts and pedophiles.
If you agree with the second premise, the third would be that there would be both those that are heterosexually inclined and those at are homosexually inclined.
If we agree to those 3 premises, we can observe that, the small percentage of the population that makes up perverts and pedophiles with homosexual inclinations presently has access to public spaces wherein they can indulge their desires which, if they are subtle, they will receive no retribution for.
If we agree with the fourth premise, I would contend that, should men be allowed access to women’s facilities and vise versa, the end would be that a small percentage of the population would be able to engage in the same behavior with no retribution.
Those are my thoughts so far. If you disagree with them, that may be where our miscommunications arise, as we would be observing the situation differently.
Well, again, I made no statements, only questions.
I believe it boils down to you and I having a fundamentally differing understanding on the nature OF questions. Based on my observations, your tendency to not answer questions I ask of you leads me to believe that you view questions as serving a rhetorical function, wherein the goal is not to seek information but to instead making a point via the absence of a statement. Alternatively, I view questions as serving more a clarification function, wherein an answer is the goal rather than a realization. In turn, you would view my questions to be statements supporting an end, whereas I would view your questions more as a means to further understanding.
It’s these sorts of things that can muddy communication, and it’s why I endeavor to be as clear as possible.
I do not know.
My question for you (and I mean this as one to be answered, not rhetorical) is this; would you go into a woman’s facility to observe naked women knowing there would not be repercussions?
As for your other question regarding exhibitionist; I included them in my premises about perverts and pedophiles. We have actually seen people complain about same sex exhibitionists many times; the stereotypical “old man in the gym that is ALWAYS naked”. I contend that this problem is currently ongoing, and would also be ongoing in other circumstances.
Believing you are in the top 10% of the human population in terms of virtue may make this a difficult conversation to maintain, but it does help me understand your perspective, so I thank you for that.
On this topic, I feel we will have to agree to disagree. I find it equally despicable for an old man to expose themself to a young boy as I do for them to expose themself to a young girl, but again, I understand your perspective and I thank you for sharing it with me.
I’ll vouch for that. I could tell in about a second that you’re a decent, genuine guy.
He is. I can vouch for him personally. And I know him in real life.
This thread would be more fun if we were trying to guess the T-girl. So I’m gonna take it upon myself to have some fun.
The obvious pick is the girl on the far left. Just look at that face baby (said like Austin Powers) and the obvious boob job. It can’t be the obvious pick though because that would be too, you know, obvious. Instead, I’m going to pick the most female looking of the quartet and guess the one on the far right.
I couldn’t pick anyone but the one on the far left. Looks like a former female bodybuilder.
You will have to forgive my misunderstanding of your post. Please believe that I respect what you are writing enough that it is no mistake of attention to detail, as even now, with your clarification I do not quite understand the difference. Based on the context of the response in regards to the question it was answering (and the implication it made you a poor representative of the general population), I believed I understood you. In my own defense, I was apparently not alone in my interpretation of you work, as Cortes, who knows you personally (and would be even more well acquainted with your thoughts/speech) agreed with my interpretation and conclusion. That, or he saw me misinterpret you, knew that I did, and felt no need to correct me, in which case, dirty pool mister!
You have made me curious; could you explain what it means to be concerned with character and what makes that quality different from possessing character?
Additionally, the question I initially was going to ask before I assumed you had already answered it was this; how ethically/morally superior do you consider yourself? Are you of the opinion that you possess more virtue than the majority of the population, and if so, to what extent?
You have really helped me understand your perspective on the matter, and it has been enlightening. I appreciate that.
