This is a prime example of what ails supposed conservatism today. In this regard, from a now-famous piece by Thomas Mann (of the BI) and Norman Ornstein (of the AEI):

Serious question, what exactly is so harmful about a man who dresses like a female, who has possibly had a medical procedure to change their anatomy took more female, to be viewed naked in a female restroom by your mother that you would go so far as to enforce by law that a 5 year old male should see instead?
You don’t see how a man (genetically) taking a dress off in front of ________(mother, daughter, wife) exposing his pre-op genitals to said females could be, shall we say, uncomfortable for them?
I don’t know what the answer is, but let’s not pretend “transgender” people are the only people affected here.
Honestly, I think this whole thing is pretty overblown.
Um. Wow. This is so utterly - what? ludicrous? hypocritical? - that I feel a little dizzy. I am pretty sure that my true inalienable, natural right is to take my clothes off. I am not at all sure that it is my inalienable, natural right to pull a gun on your mom if I get skittish and decide she may present a danger to me.

And push, I agree, they should be using the prison bathroom. But where are the screaming hordes who will make it so? I certainly voice my opinion on the matter of lax sentencing and follow-through for child molesters - and have done so officially, to authority-types. This is a fight I have been willing to undertake. Wouldn’t this be a better use of your energies, too?

Where exactly are these restrooms you frequent that people are “encouraged” to display their wonders? Maybe not allowing the opposite sex in these cases would be a fine compromise as long as its allowed in normal circumstances everywhere else in the country.
The whole point of this is people prefer separate bathrooms even if they are TG.
Unless of course your talking about one of those bathrooms pushharder frequents where guys are encouraged to swing around their dongs for all to see.
Since when is it unusual to pretend you are a windmill while “raising the roof”, or maybe swinging a fabulous neckerchief to and fro while synchronizing your ding-dong to the scarf- before, during, or after relieving yourself?
