Hang in there Masch, I think we can almost guarantee the power will be out and some flooding, so stay safe and get drunk.

And Timmy, that’s fucking awesome! What a great time to have capable individuals in our city! I do <3 fire men very much! sigh…

Joining you in the hunkering. My Xmas present last year from the hubster was a big-ass GENERATOR! YEAH!
Stay safe down there my little rehab-er.
Hi Maschy,
Its good to hear that you are doing well. We have lots to catch up on.
I hope you havent been drinking too much? That would not be ideal for your come-back preperations.
Keep safe and stay out of the rain.

And this is a song one of my ex-futbol team used to sing after winning…
Ha, i havent heard that song for so long…since high school!
Hey- I was thinking of you…
one of the guys at my new gym is an Olifter- we trained once together so far
nice guy, very very knowledgeable and he trains at your spot at LBT too.
He is like late 40’s and has red hair.
glad to see you are well and our strap discussion fired you up!
lay low on labor day
I was hoping the hurricane blew away most of your clothing and mebbe you would be posting updates in your undies.
ya’all think thats weird, huh…that’s okay by me.
Hey Ms. Spunkiness, sounds like you are keeping busy.
Boo-ya! Just for you Greggers! =D
I’m now 9 weeks post op and just getting back into the swing of things. I have an FOF who knows quite a bit about post-op strength training helping me out with my training regime, so leg day includes box squats, OH squats, DL variations and a lot of unilateral work.
Doing up a 5 day split BBstyle until I can start hitting up some ATG sqwats - then I’m going to start transitioning back into Oly (be about another 2 months from now, I reckon).
Training looks like this:
-Chest and tris
-Quads
-Shoulders
-Glutes and hamhocks
-Back and bis
and I take my Jane Fonda pilates class when I can/have energy for it.
Other than that, rehab is still going full throttle. The leg is getting plumpier (giggity!). I also got a new PT who’s super cute and makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable, but takes me to my happy place whenever he massages my leg or asks “do you want me to stretch you out?” I’m considering switching back to my original PT lady, but this guy knows about strength training and has customized my rehab so that it compliments my weight lifting (we work mostly on balance and flexibility). So i’m a bit torn…
In other news, soccer season started and that stings a little. I miss it so much!!! I can’t barely watch it on TV without getting all whimsical, plus i keep yelling “watch your knees!” But my soccer manager was so sweet and when she sent out an email re: jersey numbers she wrote “No one can take #7, we’re holding that for when Maschy comes back” tear I’m going to help out at practices by running some agility/fitness drills on the girls - so at least I’ll still be around ![]()
So yeah, other than that, I’m staying focused on getting better and getting stronger. I dream of the day when I can start working on my conditioning and agility again and start knocking around the ball. But I promise you this, people, my legs will be like those of a thoroughbred by the time I start playing soccer next year. Strong like bull!
Oh and MiMsy, the bike sprints ain’t nothing too crazy - I basically do 5 mins warmup and then put on the resistance to something pretty challenging and do 1 min on/ 1 min off for 10 mins, and then 5 min cool down. And I’m sorry to say, its gotta be on a spin bike! ![]()
Thanks for caring people - I’ll be back when I produce more eventful training.
Keep it sassy, TN! Lots of love!
I thought you said you were all flabby and out of shape. You are a g-damn liar!!
Looking forward to pics of “thoroughbred” legs. MmmmHmmm

So happy for you!!! When you do intervals do you go as fast as you can or do you ‘climb the hills?’

You and your squats are looking awesome. Amazing progress!
Yay for squats! And yay for more vids of Maschy ass. That thing is spectacular.
thoroughbred legs… the potential… brain goes tilt
cereally, if new PT KNOWS his shit then it’s a no brainer. Just tell the old one the guy’s a specialist in your field.
