HA! Call me a square, but I’ve never really been one for mixing food and sex. In fact, let me show you how that scene might pan out:
Mascherano: Mmm…yeah…so good! MMM! Oh yeah…OH MY GOD!!
Suitor: … (peeks head out from under blanket) GASP!!
Mascherano 2 fingers deep in a jar of Nutella with chocolate smears all over face
In my hierarchy of needs food > sex always. Like my coworker says, “you’re a big girl in a little girls body.” Ain’t no denying.
Snap - HAH! Cocks can be terrible bullies! And you’re right, sometimes they do need to be sacrificed in favor of a pleasant meal. I’m glad you enjoyed it! I also saw what you wrote in Vicki’s log re: recovery being slow and then BAM! all of a sudden you see you’ve made progress…I like that. Can’t wait for my BAM moment.
Thanks Puff! I’m going to go visit you in a few
Also, just wanted to say that you inspired me to get the bands and start doing a little sumptin’ sumptin’ - so thanks!
Peaches! Those pics do look good!! Thanks for that link, girl. I love food of all ethnicities, so I’ll def be looking to try some of these recipes out.
Busy - Hi! lol! Yeah, I can imagine Nebraska not being too friendly to vegitarians.
And to answer your question Greg - The impetus for changing up my diet was simply because I reasoned that I would be illogical to eat the same way I did pre-surgery. Pre-surgery my diet was high in fat and protein and while I think that was super beneficial to me then with the lifting and cardio and constant activity, I don’t think my body would be able to manage and digest all that fat and protein in the same way to my benefit. I mean, we all know the benefits of protein consumption - but honestly, its not easily digestible (at least not to me) and less so when you’re not invigorating your colon with some form of exercise.
I’m basically immobile - I get tired walking 10 blocks and from lifting my leg in the air at rehab, and I come home exhausted from sitting at my desk. I really think I need to be eating foods that are just full of water and minerals and can pass through with ease. lol! So, basically, its like I’m going on a bit of a detox!
Anyways, i don’t really care for the Blood Diet specifically. I just knew I would be going veggie/fishy for a bit and I remember that I had the book “Eat Right for Your Blood Type” so I based my diet on that, which I remembered allowed me to eat fish! Which I like, particularly for the anti-inflammation properties. And FTR, I still don’t eat too much bread and refined carbs. LOL! That shit’s still evil in my book (despite being delicious).
All this to say, I will probably go back to being an omnivore when I’ve got my legs back. I’m pretty much going to play it by ear - if I start do crave meat, I’ll definitely have it! But so far, I’m happy with what I got going on.
In training news:
From this day forward when I do my at-home rehab exercises I will also do a band workout.
Today I did 3x10 - bicep curls, side lat raises, front lat raises, OHP. It was nice to get a little pump going, so I’m going to make it a bit more challenging the next time around.
Also, in a bit of shitty news - there’s going to be a lag in health insurance coverage and as of next week I’m no longer going to be covered until the secondary insurance takes effect and/or my new health insurance starts. I spoke with my PT lady and she said that I can do a lot of the rehab at home, but I have to be really diligent about it. And if I can come into rehab once a week and pay out of pocket that would be good. We’ll see…
Have a great one y’alls!
