If they want a real Egyptian recipe with chicken give them the Moloukheya recipe(very appropriatly called Jew’s Mellow) and let us see if they can survive a couple of dishes
And guys you have to watch your step around us, we eat bunny rabbits and ENJOY murdering those little fuckers they are the tastiest white meat ever.

any Arabic grocery sells moloukheya, frozen anyways.
I would really like to know what that is in English. I’m sure the nutrient values are very good and although the frozen stuff is fine, but it’s major slimy until it’s washed well.
Post your recipe, I’ve made that dish but Lebanese-style.
There isn’t really an english name name for it, but they are the leaves of the jute plant.
I’ve never cooked it personally but basically, the leaves are finely chopped and cooked in some kind of stock, chicken or beef etc… with loads of garlic and some coriander.
It can be eaten either mixed with rice, or with bread or just like soup.
But some people have chicken mixed in with it or just on the side.
Full of everything good for you, antioxidants etc and iron and so on. Quite tasty actually but can be a little bit slimy.
When pouring powder into a small opening, make a funnel out of paper.
^^^ haha i like it.
Here’s molokheya recipe
You can get it at an Arab or Egyptian grocery shop(you’ll fins lots of those as we invaded you guys a while back but you haven’t noticed yet ![]()
Don’t use the mixer to mince the leaves, just cut it with a knife in to very very tiny pieces as a mixer is what causes it to be slimy. Oh and use more butter and garlic than mentioned in the recipe. How do you know if you did it right— If you feel like you can’t walk talk or breath afterwards.
I would recommend rabbit, duck or piggeon stock instead of chicken or meat.
Molokhia recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup of minced corchorus plant
3 cups of any kind of meat broth (chicken, rabbit, or beef).
4 cloves of minced garlic
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp mix of spices (cumin, salt and pepper)
Directions:
1- Cut the corchorus leaves and wash them very well then drain.
2- On medium heat, add the meat broth in a pot and bring it to a boil.
3- Meanwhile put the drained corchorus leaves in a mixer until itâ??s minced into very tiny pieces, then measure a cup. (To avoid mincing too much corchorus leaves, try not mincing a lot of leaves all at once, bit by bit and measuring in between until you get 1 cup of minced corchorus. In case if you got too much of minced corchorus, then boil 3 or 4 tbsp of water and put it aside, then add the extra minced corchorus you have and mix it with the water and leave it until it cools down. You can then out it in a plastic bag and store it in your freezer until the next time you do it.)
4- Once the meat broth boils lower the heat then add the minced corchorus, stir and wait until it starts boiling and switch the heat off and put aside. (Donâ??t let it boil a lot or the corchorus and the broth would be separated instead of combined altogether.)
5- In a medium pan, add the butter and let it heat up a little.
6- Mix the minced garlic with the spices and add it to the heated butter. Stir until garlicâ??s color starts fading and starts to turn red then switch the heat off.
7- Add a scoop of the corchorus soup to the garlic and mix, then add this mix to the corchorus pot and stir.
8- The meal is now ready and could be served with rice, meat, and salad.
