You are confusing the scenes. Thor made that comment before they argued in Banner’s and Stark’s lab.

I agree, hilarious spin on the line. I am offended by their lack of comprehension as they are offended by the scene.

If misinterpretation is en vogue, shouldn’t the ACLU be hunting down the Cap’t for tipping Nick Fury upon entering the command center? I thought that was a hilarious cultural reference.
I thought he gave Fury the money because of the bet they made earlier in the movie?
It was because of the bet they made earlier in the movie…no tipping of any sort…LMAO at that
Amazing where some people’s heads are at.
Yeah I know!!!

Silly me for forgetting the bet made very early in the movie and thinking it was another cultural reference to Cpt. America…

It would have been ironically funny even if that had been the case, considering Fury is the DIRECTOR of SHIELD. But I’m sure your head was already there, probably appreciating my SNL take on the scene.

I don’t think Cap’s character would ever do something like that anyway.

Stark? Maybe.

^^ Agreed.

Steve Rogers was down trodden himself.

The best part of Captain America: The First Avenger for me was the stuff before he got the super serum.

Maybe I’m a big softy, but the dummy grenade bit really got to me.

Lol. Good point.

Not to come off at you, I was just feeling victimized (more irony) because of a misinterpretation that still plays to Fury’s rank/Cpt’s era. Like a nod to Obama.

Carry on…

SOOOOOOO…DC has to respond right? How cool would a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie be??? Am I nerding out too hard? I’m sorry but that would be awesome!

If they did a darker themed Justice League like Nolan did with the Batman trilogy I think It has the potential to be better than the Avengers. But you HAVE to keep Christian Bale as Batman.

Outside of Batman they have yet to come thru with a decent cast. I do not see it happening in the next 7 years and being any good.

Not really…because as of yet they have failed to make most of those characters fit into a real world. Batman is the only one they have really gotten right. The first Superman movie in 79 gets a pass for being the first, but it wasn’t “realistic” either.

Superman hasn’t been done right yet aside from some very good moves on Smallville the tv show as far as live action.

The question is, how do you make a leotard wearing boy scout pretty boy with heat vision fit into a world created In The Dark Knight?

Marvel wins right now because they have good sense to make a group of movies inside the same universe…so they fit.

DC has a long road ahead…especially considering the ridiculous looking woman they got to play Wonder Woman on that cancelled tv show that was about to come out.

Only a real comic fan and a good writer could come up with a win…and most of Hollywood makes moves based on dollars only.

This ain’t Wonder Woman…and the people who chose her…are who will be making some of these movies.

DC has “fail” writers and too many people who don;t even know who these characters are.

Marvel understands that you need to update the costume without losing main ideas. DC got it right with Batman but since he has no super power other than his mind his costume always had to have a function to it.

DC real life movies fail with this they don’t have people that respect the characters making them so they try to duplicate the comics instead of saying OK If I was going to make this person live today how would I do the costume knowing they have to fight in it.

I agree with whoever said it will take years for a justice league movie to come out.

you have to have the same studio, come up with successful movies for individual league members, so you do not have to waste 1/2 2/3 of a movie explaining origins of so many characters. we need to get to know the characters better so we will care about them.

even Whedon could not have pulled off Avengers as well as he did if he did not have the background of most of his characters had their own movies, we already knew these guys, and like I said we cared about them.

Fuck DC. They’ve lost, We’ve won. Their favoritism toward Bat-douche and Super Fag will be their undoing.

Long live Marvel.

Screw all of ya~!

I’m still waiting for a feature length Justice Friends film to come out!

lol

Maybe? Come on man, it’s Stark.

My hope for the Avengers is Whedon takes one of the recent Marvel wars (Skrull, Civil) turn it into a trilogy and end it before they get old. Star Wars, Batman, Matrix has shown us this will keep people on the edge and drooling for the next show.

Fingers Crossed because I just think it will get old if the keep looking for new Super bad guys each movie.

That’s one reason why superhero franchises generally fizzle out so quickly. They don’t map out a long term story arc and keep the biggest, baddest villains for later movies. They usually throw in the most well known enemies early on and get left with second-tier adversaries for the sequels. Where do you go from there?
