Marvels: The Avengers (Trailer)

You wouldn’t be saying that if Nic Cage or Keannu Reeves was chosen for the part of Banner!

lol

I would have boycotted.

Luckily, someone in that editing room had sense.

I mean, as much as I thought the Cap America costume was a little “too blue” and “too flamboyant”, I have to say Evans pulled it off. It is the best “movie or even tv costume” ever made, but it is a still a tad ghey. The should darken the blue in the future…and maybe take away the red gloves.

I do hate they killed Phil though.

that was my ni@@a.

I would like to think he is not Dead.

He is just now free to go form the Dark Avengers.

Yeah that was a bummer moment.

He was getting his own slant as a character rather than just a messenger, and the Fanboy thing was pretty good too.
FrozenNinja wrote:
Wasn’t there a comic book where Hulk was actually able to pick up Thor’s hammer and use it? Does anybody know? Yeah the movie was awesome. Glad to see you posting again Gregron.
In Hulk Vs., if I remember correctly, he manages to pick it up after a large amount of effort was put into it. Don’t think he managed to do anything with it after that, but I don’t remember.

In the Ultimate Avengers animated film (think it was the second one) he picks it up, again after a lot of effort, then proceeds to throw it at Thor and knock him unconscious.

I’m not sure if he ever did it in the comics.

I don’t think he died.

spoilers

The medics came in as the scene was ending and it was established that Fury made the cards look bloody to get a rise out of the Avengers.

I’m pretty sure he’s still alive.

end spoilers

In comics and in movies, until they absolutely, 100% positively confirm someone dead, it’s absolutely safe to assume they found a way to survive somehow. Shit sometimes even when they DO confirm the person to be dead, they find ways to come back. (Sherlock Holmes, Brotherhood of the Wolf, etc.). To that effect, I’m sure we’ll see Cyclops and Professor X again in the movies as well. And not in another prequal.

I think you’re right add to the fact that Coulson and the Sam Jackson Fury have been introduced into the traditional 616 Marvel Universe

Why? Just curious.

Not sure, Marq. Some people just rub me the wrong way. Perhaps it was a role I had seen him in years ago that didn’t go over well with me.
Got ya, I am the same way. Emotional creature

Just watched it. Pretty fucking awesome. I think this film definitively takes the place of the first Iron Man as the best movie Marvel has produced.
Professor X wrote:
Also, the way they handled the “Is Thor a God or not” was very good. They basically covered all angles from flat out calling him one to Captain America saying, “There’s only one God, ma’am…and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t dress like that”. You really can’t complain.
She actually said “…you might wanna sit this one out Cap, they’re basically gods.” To which he replied with his line.

Saw it on Friday and loved it. The opening left me a little nervous, but it had my eyes glued to the screen after. I really liked how Rufallo kept referring to the Hulk as “the other guy”. I liked Norton as the Hulk and wanted him to continue, but Rufallo killed it. The scene where he and Johanson were in the shack was awesome.

After I posted that, I went back right away to edit my post to add, “Irrational, I know. But it is what it is”. But it never showed up!

In retrospect, it sounds like I’m whining over nothing.

Sometimes I swear there’s a little bitch inside me dying to get out.

LOL!

HAHA

Ruffalo really nailed it with Banner.

On a side note, regarding Batman: I’d really like to see a film adaptation of Frank Millar’s DKR.

TDKR is partially inspired by Millers’s GN. Bale is gray haired in the new trailer. WB are going to dive straight into a new series of Bat-movies after this.

So I’m sitting in the theatre right now waiting for the movie to start. They have 2 viewing options… 3d and ultraavx. I believe Amc calls their ultrravx ETX. What’s the difference between ultravx and 3d?

Ultravx is sort of like imax.

I’m the same way. Passionate about many things, but also I can hate things ( harmlessly, I mean…like songs or actors or paper clips etc.)
I mean I’ll tell someone who’s going to the US "Bring me back some cinnamon chewing gum because I FUCKING LOVE CINNAMON CHEWING GUM SO MUCH! and then that Santana song “SMooth” comes on and I cringe and tell everyone that I want that song to get fucked in the ass with a stick covered in Hitler’s shit and barbed wire.
