damutt…more power if ya hit that 1000 ! that goal is on my radar . perhaps by next spring also ; figure I need to hit my 405 pull , a 375ish squat and fill in the blank with a 220ish bench .

That’s pretty close to my goals 350 squat, 225 bench and 450 dead last fall I was at 240 bench, 350 squat, 405 deadlift. All gym lifts there is no way that they would pass In a meet

I agree - getting out there and competing for the experience first and then building to your goal is the best way. Hell - there’s no guarantee for ANY lifter competing to actually get a total at any given meet.

Im going to go with you in october and soak in the atmosphere and learn a few things and then Ill sign up for the next meet I promise really want to do one or 10 but I want to make sure Im ready. Im in no hurry to get there but I want to get there injury free and in the besy overall shape of my life and that is where I am heading right now…

What knee wraps do you use and do you think they give you anything out of the hole?
Nice pr on the squatting and doing deads on the same day brave that alwYs killed the rest off the week for me

not sure of brand…they’re cheap and quite stretched out . Im not wrapping comp tight yet , but yeah theres probably some pop there , but not sure of how much . I have a better pair that I’ll start using in the near future…when I get into 1RM PR territory .

pulling and squatting on same day isnt my preferred programming either , but I havent pulled a rep since April 12 (1RM PR) , so I gotta get some reps in yet before October .

skipped the DE squats today , so actually it was more of a squat/dead assistance . I wanted to work up on good mornings while completely fresh…hoping that how I feel tomorrow (whats sore and whats not) will confirm technique ; Im pretty sure Im doing ‘em correctly …lookin’ to hit hams , glutes , and lower back evenly . I would like to start using them as an ME movement next winter .
