Woke looking much the same. Really should get some batteries for the scale.
@Koestrizer it wasn’t pleasant but it wasn’t that terrible either.
@Frank_C who knows? Greg always has a reason for whatever he inflicts on us. I mean, it was very light.

I’ve noticed that things are light quite often. It’s intriguing and encouraging. It means I might be able to build my squat and bench without subjecting myself to heavy loads.
More than might. You can. The heaviest we go in training is about 82.5 per cent of our true max (around 90 per cent of working max). Most of it is less than that.
That was a lot of deadlifting in a short amount of time.
Well done Mark, looks like you’re back to your old self
Woke looking less bloated. Cool. Always seems to happen when I eat Macdonald’s.
@mortdk yes feeling much more like myself
So macdonalds is the key to making me look slimmer you say? Duly cherry picked.
Have you got the results from your sleep study back yet?
Nope, another two weeks at least. They explained to me that they download the results as soon as I give the kit back, but that this only gives an overview. The results are then sent off and some poor bastard manually checks the entirety of the data to build a detailed picture. They only contact after the initial download if it looks very, very bad. I imagine it would be like, they download it and go, this dude should be dead, we need to call him now.
Well that would speed things up ![]()
Woke looking similar to yesterday. Nice to see a much lower level of bloat.
Todays training
3x10 bracing hip thrusts, 10x10 seconds bracing 90/90 with shoulder distraction, sled pushes and air squats in between. Turns out I actually need to warm up now.
Squats
Worked up to
5x2x352 lbs
2x4x352 lbs
With five second breaks. Fuck. Me. Dead
Squat 21s
2x21x281 lbs - as @Despade knows Greg only meant to put down one set but put two and since others on the team did the two sets, I couldn’t not. Until Monday through the second set, when I could easily have not.
Walking lunges
3x30 feet - these actually really helped calm my legs down
Lat pulldowns
5x10x130 lbs - I’m getting a lot better and squeezing my lats at the top of these.
All up an hour and 35 minutes, of which 15 was warming up and another 10 stretching.
I’ve always thought I’d like to go out this way ![]()
Good sessions as always
Do you actually think in lbs or do you just log in lbs for our metrically challenged friends/coach?
Woke at 261.2 lbs, looking similar to yesterday. Maybe a little more bloated, but hard to tell.
@dagill2 little from column A, little from column B. Although Greg told me not to bother because he understands kilos.
Todays training
3x10 bracing hip thrusts and 10x10 seconds bracing 90/90 with band work and some DB bench and tricep rollovers
Bench press
Worked up to
4x2x236 lbs
8x236 lbs
WGBP (pointer finger on rings)
2x6x204 lbs
Pullups
3x3
1x7 - another max set
DB tricep extensions
10x22 lbs
10x27 lbs
Band facepulls
50
All up an hour and 25 minutes
This makes me feel weak
This makes me feel slightly less awful about myself ![]()
Woke at 261.5 lbs, looking similar to yesterday.
You got to remember I’m around 60 lbs bigger than you @Despade
If it helps, my bench still makes me cringe.
Ya know, I’ve never been one to take weight into account, either you’re strong, or you’re not, that’s how I’ve always looked at it, not really into the pound for pound things, so for now, 60lbs on me means nothing, but your poverty bench means everything ![]()
You powerlifters are a different breed. Anyone putting up three wheels on bench is doing good by me. I definitely don’t put that in the “poverty” category.
@Despade, stay away from my log. I don’t measure up to your standards yet. ![]()
