And hips, and from the flow on effect, it has helped my back and hamstrings a bunch as well.
All my problems really start in the hips.
The way I’ve been explained is that the muscles seem to bunch a whole lot in the glutes. It’s pretty much full of knots, so the tennis ball/golf ball/whatever ball is constant pressure releases said knots.

4x1x468 lbs - felt a slight pull in my left armpit on the first set, but left was underhand and when I went to left as overhand it was fine. Pulls felt heavy as all shit
3, 1, 1x468 lbs - meant to be 10 AFSAP but on the second single felt a pop in my left armpit.
Considered doing tomorrow’s work that didn’t involve gripping but then I had trouble taking my sleeves off and racking the plates.
Damn, I hope nothing is injured!
Thanks mate. So far, no bruising and it now feels tight more than painful. At a guess a strain in my triceps that will hopefully resolve itself with rest.

Best of luck with the injury, if there’s no bruising hopefully it should fix itself quickly. Still sucks to have to miss sessions or modify due to a strain.
Woke at 249.1 lbs, looking about the same as yesterday which is partly salt and partly me eating a bunch yesterday. No bruising on the tricep and it’s just stiff which is a win.
I read somewhere recently that a lack of bruising or blood show can mean connective tissue damage. The attachments have no real blood flow and a tear, strain, etc will not show a sub dermal bruise like muscle belly injuries.

That makes sense. I’ve still got full ROM with just stiffness so I’m going with a slight strain and no real damage.

Woke at 245.8 lbs, looking much less bloated than yesterday. Tricep is way better, did some stretching yesterday and no pain but it is noticeably tighter than the right side.

i had a slight pull in my left armpit as well, the last 4 days or so. but i didn’t get it from beasting out with barbells. no idea how it happened to me. lmfao.
