Marijuana Raid Leads To Cops Shooting The Family's Dogs

The fact that most people who buy this super weed don’t know what they are getting into would be a lot easier to address by legalization and legislating proper package markings than by making it even more illegal. You don’t see too many people opening a bottle of tequila and thinking it’s comparable to having a beer. Compare this to the fact that criminals selling pot won’t mind adding epoxy resin or fiberglass to the product to increase their profit margins, much less selling stuff of questionable potency.
Not to mention that anyone who cannot tell if their weed is more potent than the average deserves the surprise.

When your weed has a distinct, strong stench, has hints of other colors besides green, and is covered in a layer of powdery “crystals,” you got yourself some strong pot.

Another thing this guy seems unaware of is people smoke kief recreationally. And they’re fine.

Just like the kid could have been. That’s not endangering the child though. Children can be corrupted and ruined by drug paraphernalia but dammit they are bullet-proof. There’s no way that you can say that the home owner is more at fault here than the police department is.
how do you figure? Without the home owner having drugs in the house the police would never have been there and there would never have been shots fired.

No, you can’t know that for the truth. Obviously the way they went in they thought they were going to have a huge bust and maybe a violent dealer. What they got appeared to be a family man and his family, with a small bit of pot and a pipe. It could have easily been no pot or pipe. The investigation into this warrant is horrible. I am actually a criminal justice major in college, and I have to say these cops were retards. T

hey came at night, while the kid was there which is horrible, they obviously found no weapons in his house or we would have heard of it. This is just a debacle that cops all over America make that make all of us criminal justice workers look like fucking retards. I got into criminal justice to stop bull shit like this. If I was the police chief I would publicly support my guys, but behind the scene they would be getting proper fucked for bringing this on.

Well when you actually get out of college and into the actual criminal justice workforce you will see things in a different light. Things change at a moments notice. While the warrant was being obtained the dealer could have gotten all his dope out of the house. Of course there could have been some bad information on this guy, it happens. To classify them as “fucking retards” is hasty. It could have been that they had an informant working both sides. There are things that happen in the real world that they don’t talk about in the books they shove down your throat in college. Most of the theories in the books are great if you worked in fucking fantasy land. A word of advice. Do not get caught up in being a “street lawyer” just because you are in criminal justice classes. I am being serious here. Be careful what these professors feed to you. Most of the CJ professors I have had never worked the street a day in their life. I found out that one of the professors likes to lie about his law enforcement past. Be careful and good luck with your schooling.

Another awesome fuck up by the police. This one resulted in the death of a 7 year old girl.

Fucking disgusting…

“The officer’s weapon discharged one round which, tragically, struck 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley Jones in the neck/head area.”

"Aiyana’s father, Charles Jones, told CNN affiliate WDIV, “She was sleeping and they came in the door shooting and throwing flash grenades … burned my baby up and shot her, killed her.”

This couldn’t possibly mean maybe we should look into the practices of police and the issuing of search warrants.

Nope.

Let’s just keep knocking down doors with kids and dogs behind them…because that protects people.

what is the world coming to? You cant just harbor a fugitive anymore like the good old days.

Yeah! That’s a good point. If your brother is a murder SUSPECT, even if you might not know about it, then you deserve to have your daughter shot. Why don’t people realize this anymore?

sorry only read to the 5th page, and got the gist. How about the 5 cops in New Orleans that shot unarmed people across a bridge post katrina, then PLANTED guns to cover their ass. So only several years later are they beginning to be charged. Cold blooded murder.

As stated before here by some intelligent fellow, weed is simply profitable because of government policies. This business cycles around through the police force and the developers that build prisons, as well as prison staffing force. Why, because these two entities the police force, and the prison developers carry two things politicians want. Votes and money. You get to look tough on crime, keep the police unions in your pocket, scratch the back of prison building big business. Everybody wins right.

I personally know doctors that say weed is medically useful for many ills. Otherwise, whats the new trend in states legalizing it for such a purpose. Oh wait, now its convienient because these states need MONEY. Money and power, and you tell me theres anything else going on here.

Marijuana a gateway drug… wow…just wow.

Haven’t a lot of departments reviewed policy on high speed chases given that the risk those pursuits pose to innocent bystanders?

Do the same thing with SWAT please.

The penalty for harboring a fugitive is jail, not death.

Furthermore I read that the fugitve was arrested in the apartment across the hall from the one where the girl was sleeping in her bed.

This seems hasty, inexpert, and over-aggressive.
