Marijuana and Steroids

I’ve looked at quite a bit of medical literature regarding this issue. As of current it appears alcohol is by far the more destructive substance. I’ve spoke to quite a few physicians over this particular issue, all of which agree with my viewpoint.

If you were able to prove to me cannabis led to fights, near fatal respiratory depression and at times death, risky hookups, public urination, me occasionally needing to clean up puke and put kids to bed (and put em in recovery position) because they aren’t able to walk or are passed out on the floor coupled with leading to cardiomyopathy, hepatic cirhossis and more long term I’d change my mind.

Alcohol can be consumed responsibly, though within my demographic it very seldom is used within reason, it’s all about as Rick from Rick and Morty has stated “getting Rickidy Rickidy wreeeccked!”

At the same time, cannabis isn’t good for you. But compare getting high vs binge drinking; it’s not even a comparison in terms of toxicity elicited from both. Alcohol is just THAT much worse in terms of an acute direct effect and detriment incurred from chronic, excessive intake.

I am just ribbing you a bit on your very confident stance (never being able to be convinced). I agree with you FWIW. All I am saying is we don’t understand everything. Maybe new data will come forward showing some effect we didn’t understand until then that has a large negative impact. I am of the opinion that they are more likely find more useful things it does than harm.

It does appear to lead to subclinical, albeit detrimental alterations regarding cardiac dimensions. I’ll link the study later

Certain variables need to be accounted for (i.e whether users “spun” their cannabis, which is Aussie terminology for mixing cannabis/tobacco, as is typically done here).

It does appear as if cannabis use alone may have a net negative impact on cardiovascular health (there are a few papers/case reports which when compiled add up to give this ideology credibility).
