well done! Iām trying that stance as well after reading the squat stance deadlift article this week.
Edit: Iāve decided to attempt my redo Monday after power cleans. I figure theyāll be a good warm-up.

Thanks, and that is actually what sparked my interest for the stance. I found it pretty natural walking up to it. My typically sticking point is right on the floor, but this movement felt very light off of the floor (compared to how 405lbs typically feels).
We will have to see if my thoughts on the stance hold true when I start getting 85%+ my 1RM.
Fantastic work nutting up for the challenge dude. See how you feel for the next few days. It was like having the flu for me, haha.
Damn, very impressive!
Howād you blur your word btw?
Nice!
@T3hPwnisher - Thanks. I blame you for setting the goal so damn high. Already feel like I have the flu, so hopefully this doesnāt make it worse!
@dchris - Thanks man, when posting there is a little settings/options gear icon that gives you a few additional options for posting. Hide details, blur spoiler and create poll.
Damn dude, nice job on the Challenge.
Also I saw this and thought it looked like your profile in 30 years.
Hahaha WOW!! Got a little exciting on that AMRAP!!!
LOL SQUASH HUNTER!!! or cucumbers?
EDIT LOL I am an idiot, those are zucchini.
@hugh_gilly - haha saw that as a meme recently. something to do with āHunter Gone Veganā.
@BOTSLAYER - ya, power wobble at the top defeated me lol
What percentage is 405 of your 1RM?
67.5% 1RM is 600lbs
Thanks. I knew your 1RM was up there. I just couldnāt remember.
So this was 6 days ago.
Since then Iāve basically been doing Keto (NEVERsate Eating Challenge, higher fat, no direct carbsā¦but not actually checking or concerning myself with being in actual ketosis as Iām keeping the protein intake high (~1g/lb BW)). I have not been strict on my calorie consumption as Iāve been doing Brianās daily workouts (which I wanted to make sure I fully recovered from) and the first week moving to fat-adapting always sucks (not sure if I had the famous āketo-fluā or just a bad cold that has been circulating around the office).
To the point; I woke up this morning at an new low of 203.6lbs. Now obviously this loss is mainly water weight since my last weigh in was a heavy outlier, post-birthday celebrations, but Iām very happy to see myself plummet back down to where I kind of hoped to be.
I would be lying if I said seeing 211lbs last week wasnāt discouraging, so this definitely lit the fire back under my ass to push it harder for the next 8 weeks.
#Look out fellow T-ransformation competitors; Iām about to get lean.
It was the power wobble that done it!
Haha, I think thatās the only answer.
Just a couple pictures for the log:
Some battle wounds from the deadlift challenge.
A casual 13.5oz flank steak for dinner last night. Yea, yea BBQāing in the dark cooked it a hair more than I usually like it, but both my wife and I like it around medium to medium well.

Haha just gonna leave this right here⦠solid wounds and some fine lookin calves as an aside.
@kd13 - Hey Iāll bring our chat over here just so we arenāt clogging up the challenge thread.
Iām actually consuming no direct carbs. IF I have fruit during the day I will have that peri-workout but I have been following the NEVERsate Healthy Eating Challenge, which I suppose is more or less a Keto diet. Although, I keep my protein higher than a typical keto diet would.
I have hit a new low in weight after just 1 week on this diet. A little energy dip, but not too bad overall. Plus, I love eating fatty foodsā¦eating bacon, avocado and peanut butter like theyāre going out of style.
So far it looks like my carbs have been hitting around the 60g mark just from incidental carbs (fruit, veggies, the odd yogurt, etc).
Yeah thatās pretty low then, hopefully you manage to keep your training going as well as it has been. That flat feeling that comes along with low carb is a real mind f**k.
Bacon and avocados have been keeping me going too.
Yeah, I have been fighting a cold since the end of last week so that seems to be zapping my energy as well.
How long have you been rocking the low carb for?
