I really did not want to do this workout. It is hard for me to rally myself after a long day with the toddler. I convinced myself, but it was a slow tempo workout. Had Netflix running on the tablet and got distracted between sets a few times. Not terrible overall, but lots of room for improvement.

I know that feeling very well. I would like to say it gets easier as they get older mate but not sure it does :joy:

My PR for deads is 307.5kg, but happy to still have this in the tank with my current (lacklustre) training schedule.

You can do a lot with 2 good sessions a week. All that extra recovery time really helps.

Nice pump, worked pretty hard during this workout even though I would historically consider this to be a lot of “fluff” work. Starting to put more value into this “fluff” work and I think I’m seeing it pay off.

I had mine 17 months apart - first one wasn’t even a year when my wife shuffled out of the bathroom, holding a positive pregnancy test and sobbing. It being Mother’s Day, I gave her an affectionate pat on the back, sighed audibly, and went to work for the 7th 12 hour overnight shift in a row.

Happy days.

But seriously, they do play together now and I wouldn’t change it for the world. There was a time though, when the second one was 3 months, still breastfeeding, attached to my wife, and my only job was to occupy the almost-2-year-old, where I felt a complete lack of connection to my youngest. It’s a very weird situation. Plus, it’s not 2x the work. They can wake each other up and piss each other off and hurt each other. 2x the work would be 2 separate children. 2 children together is 4x the work.
