Man Attacked on DC Subway

LOL. I was thinking the same thing.

As for the guys saying if the white guy had beaten the black girl’s ass, any black guys around would have jumped on him, how do you know and what gives you the right to paint anyone with so broad a brush? I’ve seen two such incidents in my life. Once outside a nightclub and once, ironically on the DC subway, where a black female started a physical incident with a white male and summarily got her ass kicked.

Neither time did any of the black males around, myself included jump in. The closest it came was on the DC subway when one guy did say something to the effect of, “Somebody should beat his ass.” I turned around, looked at him and told him, “She stepped to him like a man and got her ass beat like a man.” Everyone just shrugged their shoulders and watched her get off at the next stop crying.

I think I mis-read something. I thought there was a group of kids taking the video and a boy and a girl involved in striking the man. I thought someone had mentioned the real danger to be coming from the boys in that group, not necessarily the girl herself. I was agreeing with that. If someone said that any black guy would have jumped in, then, yeah, they’re a racist fuck.

This video is awesome.

I’ve had many conversations with LEOs on the topic of using a firearm in the crowded place.
The response is always pretty much this - if you feel threatened to the point of being in fear for your life AND you can’t get away - use it, otherwise - don’t.
Being an adult male (even if you are a skinny “whiteboy”) is not going to look good if you shoot a teenage female from that perspective.
That said - I highly doubt the dude was carrying. I think he did the right thing actually - got away, called the cops.

That was stupid. he didn’t know the circumstances and he took a cheap shot. He may have been right but it was foolish and possibly criminal.

No law abiding citizen in DC is carrying…that is because DC bans the carry of guns (both open and concealed)…

Yeah DC sucks with that. Hell its damn near impossible to get a CCW in MD now VA is another story.

Hmmm - I’m not TOO scared about my safety when I’m out alone. However, when my girlfriend is with me, then I can become pretty stressed in case someone starts a problem with her/me.

Not sure how I would handle that. I think I’d try every method of diplomacy and appeasement if it meant that she walked away from it unhurt in any way.

By the way, how would you guys react if a group was verbally insulting/abusing your significant other, and you KNEW that a physical altercation would always result in them winning?

Ignore them, and suck it up? I could certainly ignore someone throwing insults at ME, but it complicates things if they say something about your SO.

I have a CC permit, but there is no way I would use my pistol in a setting like a subway. I’d be leery of using it in almost any situation unless I knew my wife or I was in no shit danger of being seriously hurt or killed.

There are all sorts of things that can go wrong when a gun is introduced into a situation such as this. Perhaps it’s my Army training, but if I draw my pistol and point it at someone, I’ll do so with the intent on pulling the trigger. No hollywood shit, trying to look hard or to scare someone. It’s to put down a violent aggressor, period.

That is the last resort.

 • If the BodyGuard is reading this thread, he once mentioned in a post about a situation not unlike the one in this thread. Maybe he can weigh in on this too?

Well if that is her bf then he is the biggest fucking coward I’ve ever seen on screen…hands down.

If my girlfriend was ever assaulted when she was pregnant carrying my child all fucking hell would break loose. No exageration there either…even if it meant spending a couple of years in prison thats a whole lot better then having a baby born with problems because someone disgusting excuse for a human being hit the mother. Jesus what a fucking pussy I’m actually more disgusted with the bf then with the black chicks who attacked her. And believe me I feel as though those woman should of been arrested for attempted murder
How is he a coward for trying to protect his girlfriend?
Well what I meant was he’s a coward for not jumping in sooner, and for letting the black girls to continue to get hits on her when he stood up. Shoulda laid them out at first swing
Jumping in sooner, you mean jumping up when she started getting attacked? Unless you have some different cut, or you are Superman I’m not sure how he could have jumped in sooner.

I’m a grown man, I’ve been in grown man and punk ass situations. I’ve defended my women in fights from everything from bars to coming out of a comedy show. At no time, would I humor myself into thinking that I could have “laid [my woman’s five plus female attackers] out at first swing” without opening my woman to further attack, especially while pregnant.

If my woman wasn’t pregnant, I might think about it, as she could defend herself without risk of hurting the baby. But as it seems, pushing my girlfriend into the crowd and using my body as a shield seems about the best situation.

Defending yourself and defending someone else is two different games, and defending someone else in close quarters is in just a different ball park.

I mean unless the guy is carrying and is a certified marksman and can drop the attackers without removing his body from his stance that is blocking his girlfriend, he did the best he is likely able to do as a civilian.
Yes, I am Superman…can’t you see my profile pic?

These chicks woulda gotten their asses whooped if it had been me.

but, there’s probably a reason they picked the skinny meek-looking white guy.
