Major Strength

Said it once, say it again, nice job at your first meet, and best of luck at the second. You will have two under your belt before I get my first.

Thanks brother. While I have a meet total before you, I’m still jealous you hit a 600 pull before me. Great work.

-sled 3plx12 + blazing sun
-sled side shuffle 25#x1 each way
-sled hip flexor drag 25#x1 each leg

-Sumo rack pull from pin 1 + quadded mini bands
barx3, 135x3, 185x3
belt on, 225x3, 275x3
suit bottoms on 315x3, 365x3, 405x3
straps up 455x1, 495xmiss + torn hand, 475xmiss coulda gotten it if I hadn’t jumped to 5 plates first

-Zercher harness from the floor
135x5, 185x5, 225x3x5

-rev hypers 230x3x10

You broke the bands? Damn dude, that’s brutal!

How do you like that zercher harness? I saw a picture of one and thought it looked pretty cool

Wish I could say it was my brute strength that broke the bands, but they got pinched somehow and busted.

Zercher harness is a good tool. Using it to focus on getting DL lockout stronger. The harness itself works fine, and I’d never do zerchers with my arms cuz that’s just dumb. Lower back gets toasted with it. One of those exercises that you hate to do but know you need to do it.

Hey, btw, you ever get your crest inked on yet? I remember you were going to, right?

Haven’t gotten the crest inked yet. Really want to but waiting for when I have some extra dough saved up. Also debating if I want to wait until my little brother can get it with me-- he’s gotta wait until he’s not on dad’s payroll. I was actually wanting to ask you what you thought about the coloring, ie. black and grey vs. color. Which would you get for a crest?

You got a picture of it with the colors it’s supposed to have?

I was thinking about getting my crest inked as well, not sure where though yet. Of course, money is THE only hangup with any further art for me as well. I’d do mine with color though, as it’s got a rad blue that would really pop on my white ass skin, haha

It’d be cool if you and your brother could get inked at the same time, if it’s a possibility in the near future, I’d hold out. It’s a cool experience. I did it once with my brother, and am going to do it again to commemorate the Africa trip, once I got some extra dough to thrown down.

No, the image I have is black & white. I have an idea of what colors to use but not sure if I’d want it in color to be honest. I’ve been debating whether I should wait until lil’ bro is able to get it with me, but that could be another year or so, since dad’s still paying for his college tuition.

Thurs 6/16
BW= 270.2

-mini band pull apart 2x20
-mini band tri pressdown 2x20
-DB shoulder horn 15#x10

-Arch bar bench
barx10, 95x10, 135x10, 185x3
add 2 board & wraps
275x3, 295x3, 315x3, 335x1, 355x1
375x0 out of position at the bottom

375x1 stayed tight and got the rep, PR!

-Cambered bar prone row
barx10, 95x10, 135x10, 185x5, 205x5, 225x3, 185x10, 185x5

-Yoke walk ~25 yds.
barx2, 1plx2, 2plx2, 3plx2, x2

-Green band tri pressdown 4x20
-rev hyper 230x2x10

Well if you’re unsure about getting it with color, I wouldn’t do it then. Black ink only would look badass, and with the right shading would really be killer man.

That arch bar looks like great fun. You use it often?

And my two cents: get the ink done without colour. Bear in mind that this is a massively uninformed opinion - being ink free myself. I just think the crest looks cool sans-colour.

That was the first time using the arch bar for ME, but I have used it for a cycle as my DE move. Supposed to help with bench grip, spreading the bar apart I think.

Re: the ink. I’m going to sit on it until my brother can get it done with me. What I did do, however, was get a pair of Chucks custom made with my crest on them, see video below. This website http://theavevenice.com/ does custom Chucks with whatever digital file you send them, and they’re going to start doing Vans too.

Thanks dudes, I’m stoked how they came out. The store that makes them The Ave Customs is owned by a childhood friend’s brother, so I’ll plug them again. I just sent them a JPEG and emailed back and forth a bit to tweak the design. Easy and they came out awesome.

I’m going to get some chucks made with a screenshot of DF moving it like bernie on 1 shoe, and “PR” on the other one. Cool right?
