Major Squat Fail

Sounds good!

Iirc the og BBB article doesn’t include the single leg/core+push+pull that became a staple in the subsequent books.
I only mention that to avoid confusion for the OP.
Also i could be remembering wrong and thus confusing the OP even more haha.

Good catch. Only ab work.

Just leaves conditioning to pick up some slack.

I’m not 100% sure about the original BBB Program, but I’m doing the BBB 3 month challenge program, and there are not any single leg exercises included such as Bulgarian split squats or single leg-legpress.

What are you doing for conditioning?

Walking 2 miles, 4 days of the week

You could get in a LOT more quad work if you did something other than this. Are you willing to do that?

 Personally, I’ve been using a a narrow stance every time I squat because it’s harder.

You mean the conditioning or the entire program itself? If you are referring to the conditioning these are the other options wendler reccomends:

  • Walk 2 miles, 4 days/week.
  • Walk 1-2 miles, 4 days/week while wearing weight vest.
  • Walk two miles, 2 days/week and push the Prowler twice a week. The Prowler workout is as follows, done on asphalt: 10 x 40 yard pushes (sprints or walks) with 90 pounds added to Prowler. The walking sessions can also be done Manly Style, i.e. with a weight vest.

My gym doesn’t have a prowler, so I can’t go with that option

I always preferred moving more weight. I took about three different movements for me to squat narrow. I never found a sticking point squatting wider (not sumo). It felt like one smooth movement.

What about this?

Honestly right now I probably can’t buy it, and even if I could my gym is just the community rec center, it is pretty small and cramped and I wouldn’t have anywhere to pull it there (I only have access to plates there.)

Here is a link to the video of me squatting, I included a front and side view of both plates under my feet and not.

Stop worrying, your squat looks great.

You don’t need to pause for a year at the bottom and over time you’ll want to practice bracing vs arching so hard. I don’t think you need a heel lift at all.

Do you have anything heavy you want critiqued?

By the way, next time you can upload the video once and just @ everyone you want to see it.

There are people out there on the internet called the form police. Not here, usually. They would probably love your squat.
The rest if us would tell you that its totally fine, but would also be fine if you had double the weight on the bar and were really struggling. The form police would disagree. Dont listen to them. Lifting heavy things is hard and your form won’t always look so crisp. That’s ok!
No need for heel lifts, no need to worry about your stance. Just eat lots and increase the weight.
