Yup. I’ve hit a wall on the major lifts. Gonna move onto something new for a couple of months for a change of pace.

Considering how the last time I tried to question you went, I’m hesitant to do this. If what I have to say pisses you off, I’ll delete this post and won’t bother you again. But in February 2014 (that’s 16 months ago) some of your training numbers were -
You haven’t made a ton of progress and every few months you say you’ve stalled and want to try something new, which always means a full body plan or upper/lower split with low rep compound movements, often six times a week. I really don’t think you’re getting a lot of return for all the time you invest.
I’m ridiculously weak myself, so don’t even start with the ad hominem arguments. You can use this as a point to consider or carry on. Your call.

Any suggestions on what to try?[/quote]
Doggcrapp would be my first idea. No thinking about rep ranges or “maybe I need more volume/another exercise in there/ etc”, just serious intensity coupled with good recovery. And I guess it’d be a nice change of pace for you.

Well, that’s a scary looking program.
The biggest problem I see is that I don’t think I can practice judo while doing that.

Give it a try. I think your system needs a bit of a shock to change. There are plenty of other programs though, just try to shift your paradigm away from the “I’ll practice the lifts with frequency and make sure I recover” thing. You don’t seem to be getting much stronger this way, especially your upper body.

Fair point. Let me give what I’m trying now a bit of time first, along with seeing how I can adjust lifting and everything to my new work schedule first.

Dude, take your time as long as you want; lifting is not your job and I’m not your boss. I just thought I’d give you a second opinion. Good luck and godspeed.
