Also, I like how you all ignored the good picture I posted of Maggie, lol.
Not sure what you want us to say about the picture you posted… other than stating the obvious by mentioning that the camera, makeup artists and lighting technicians can do wonders. But really, all we are seeing is a low quality image of a slim, nude female with spread legs being barely covered by some sort of animal fur.
Her mug doesn’t look like a half-melted candle in that picture, though I’m guessing it is taken from a movie, which means her face is obviously caked with makeup and shown in flattering lighting. The low image quality helps this. The fact that she is showing so much skin, rocking such a slutty pose, and covered in so very little is what she has going for her in that shot.
Here’s the thing: take a look at how utterly mediocre she looks in some of her movies… and then realize that this is with a crew of people who are paid - oftentimes quite generously - to make her pretty and show her in the most flattering light possible.
I’m not saying it’s absurd to find her attractive, different strokes and all that, but it is pretty ridiculous to just throw her name out there as a universal standard for what constitutes an attractive person.
Finding Maggie Gylenhalealal desirable is like eating an entire quart of ice cream over the kitchen sink by the light of your refrigerator (and not just because her face resembles a bowl of B&J’s Chunky Monkey left out a tad too long at air temperature): you know it’s wrong, you wish you could stop, but it strangely feels too good to quit… but never should you ever run around insisting to people that it’s a reasonable thing to do.
Any given Sunday they would all get the ass slappin, however sex symbol should not be on there resume.
And yes it was hard to buy in that last batman movie that those guys were fighting over her. I thought she was sick thru the filming. I remember thinking wow how brave to act while she is obviously fighting cronic diarrhea

Ya but at least she can act better then Katie Holmes
I now realize Maggie was in Stranger than Fiction. And I’m grossed out at myself for thinking she was hot in that movie. In all fairness she had lovely tattoos (albeit fake) in that movie leading to the turn on. The movie otherwise was great.
Perhaps the best description of Maggie is by Nards - “like a chinless bowl of oatmeal with little pig eyes”.
Same with Renee Zellweger. It is kinda hit and miss with her. And why is she almost always squinting?
I’ve always thought she was pretty amazing in Jerry Maguire, but could never figure out what happened to her since then.
Exactly!!! Catch her on the wrong day and she is a little bit “people of WalMart.”
One of her earlier movies was Empire Records, very cute in that. Over the years, he co-star in that movie Liv Tyler looks exactly the same while Renee for the most part added/lost weight to suit her roles (Bridget Jones, Cold Mountain etc).

Who in the world said she was “a universal standard for what constitutes an attractive person,” lol. People in this thread were making comments about how she is straight up ugly and “backing it up” by posting the absolute worst pictures of her. There is abundant evidence that even those generally considered “hot” can look “ugly” in some pictures, just the same as less attractive people like Maggie can look downright horrible in some photos. No one said she is hot, my main point was that the comments calling her ugly, and a dog, are not warranted and that she is probably not below most men’s honest standards.
