Mag10: What's up?

This has been brought up before (with earlier bans), but has Biotest thought about moving production off-shore? I would think that Japan, for example (being the country that I’m most immediately familiar with) would be an excellent choice to continue manufacturing stuff with exceptionally high quality control. Of course, the price would probably go up as well, but at least there would be someplace people could go to get the cool stuff that Biotest comes up with.

And there are probably other places where a better quality/price ratio could be obtained.

I know that Biotest is an American company, but let’s face it: the readership and impact are both global. It may well be time to start thinking beyond the national boundaries.

T-Nation? How about T-Planet?

Char-dawg, that’s what I was thinking. The “major pharmaceutical company” could be across the border, and since US Customs doesn’t seem to inspect packages as thoroughly as Canadian Customs (despite the scare of anthrax and the like), many of us could happily order from an overseas company.

But there’s still a chance that we wouldn’t be able to get shipments through. I doubt there will be any handy loopholes in the new bill/law that allow us to purchase precursors easily just because they weren’t masnufactured here. I’ve been looking at www.usfa.biz, and thomas.loc.gov; serious stuff.

I must mentally prepare my wife for the very large charge about to go on our credit card when the new Mag-10 appears and I stock up for the future.

Agathos: Better let Bill Roberts provide more info on that. He said he’d try to get on the forum soon and field some MAG-10 questions. This coming Friday’s article may provide more info too.

Char: I have no idea. Doubtful, but then again that’s not my department.

Follow up on shelf life info:

I just spoke with Tim again on the shelf life issue. He’s thinking it’s going to be three years at least, but probably a lot longer.

He’s also discouraging stockpiling, saying it’s just not necessary right now. If the ban in eminent, he’ll sound the warning. We’ll have advanced notice. In other words, like Harry Potter says, “Don’t panic.”

Man, what a fucking bummer.

Major fucking bummer.

Chris,

If/when the ban does go into effect what will happen the supply already out in distribution? Will all banned products be pulled from the shelves immediately, will they be allowed to be sold, will products not yet in distribution but have been produced be sold?

Thanks.

Ahkeron - Good question, but I don’t have the answer. Sorry!

hey guys you might want to check out the USFA site. They have a forum on there that has updates on the situation frequently. Weider just recently signed on and that should give a pretty good boost to the fight.

Why would you want to stock up on the old mag-10 when the new one is improved?

Ok I’m not trying to hijack this thread, I just want to know if I should be refrigerating all of the liquid BioTest formulas…(ie. Methoxy7, etc)…

It was just mentioned above that refrigerating it extends the shelf life of Mag10…

But back to the topic at hand, even though I’m Canadian, it’s so frustrating living in an uber-Socialist nation where the government relies on its population to look to it for the answers rather than to themselves…

Again, sorry about the Methoxy question above…

eyuzwa - No need really, unless you’re going to save them for a several years.
