I know the instructions for MAG-10 tell me to consume 1 hour after my training session. Am I missing any window of opportunity by waiting so long for my post workout nutrition? Should I continue with a carb/protein drink immediately following my workout, and then take MAG-10 a hour after that?
I have my Anaconda drink pre and during, followed up with MAG-10 an hour later.
I’d do the same with whatever you’re drinking for your workout nutrition, be it Anaconda or otherwise. So basically, some carb/protein before with the goal of finishing it during your workout, then MAG-10 an hour after your workout.
Hope that helps.
Assuming you’re drinking Anaconda during your workout, the amino-acid levels in your bloodstream are significantly elevated for about an hour. You wait for them to drop, then have MAG-10 and spike them again.
B.
Yes I’m taking Anaconda during my workout. This info helps. Thanks alot.
If your PRE supps are in order, you don’t need to obsess about the ‘magic’ post exercise window. An hour is a good amount of time.

A follow up to this question would be: what about a solid meal after working out? I usually train at about 5:30 PM and drink the new Anaconda during that. Then I usually eat a meal about 7 PM. So I eat a meal about 30-45 minutes after training. Would a person still do a shot of MAG-10 one hour after training, even if a meal is eaten in between there?
PS: Not trying to steal your thread, but I think this is a good place to ask this question.

No. The point of the MAG-10 is to let your amino levels fall to as close to zero as possible, then use the MAG-10 to rapidly spike them back up. You basically NEED an empty stomach (or as close to as possible) for the effect to happen.
If you are going to use the strategy, just postpone the PWO meal, hit the MAG-10 at 60 minutes out, and then eat the meal 15 minutes after that. The protein synthesis from a workout is ramped up quite a bit for 3-6 hours after training (really up to 24 I believe) so shifting things 15-30 minutes in either direction during this time frame really is not going to do a damn thing.
