You live near active volcanos there?
You live near active volcanos there?
That’s a lot work right there.
+1 You are getting in plenty of training and real work! Great job!
Not real near but you’re never real far living smack dab on the Ring of Fire. Mt Pinatubo’s eruption in '91 destroyed Clark AFB, Angeles City, PI and completely blanketed where we live now in ash. Right now there are 23 active volcanoes in the PI. Natib Volcano is in Bataan, 28 miles away and still considered active.
I came back to this date to post this. Every time I try to check out your log I get this “This user’s public profile is hidden.” You gone undercover or something?
Early morning. Couldn’t help it. 41f/5c out. Had to hit the river. Never been accused of being too smart. Worn my O’Neill Men’s Basic Skins UPF 50+ Long Sleeve. Did the trick. Did more than I intended. Went 1000m out and then back. Felt so good I did another 500 out and 500 back. Nice 3000m total. Nothing to brag about on the speed. Changed out of my suit a 2k run through the woods. Dried off, cleaned off and met the brothers at the restaurant chic of haute cuisine, Waffle House. Planning Mama’s upcoming 98 year birthday party.
Hmmmm… I didn’t know it said that. Probably not smart enough to change it… lol
Nothing happening in my log anyways. I lost my shit when mom passed and haven’t got it all back yet. It’s coming together though.
So very sorry for your loss. Mother’s are anchor’s in our life. Take it day by day.
Monday - Early morning did kata in the back yard. Appointments most rest of the day.
Today - Woke up planning on hitting the gym. Took my coffee out on the deck and it was a beautiful day. A little cool but perfect. What was I to do? Loaded up the throwing stuff into the truck and headed to college. Started with an easy 400m lap to loosen up.

This morning - Been nice all week, in the low 80’s last few days, so hit the river. 3000m round trip. Changed and did 1.5 mi through the neighborhood.
Up early tomorrow for Sunrise Service with the family.
I see your press strength is coming back around and still strong.
Good to see you out practicing to win those Olympics.
Shoulder pressing has always been my strong point. Goes all the way back to when I started lifting and my Dad and big brothers told me you had to be able to press your own weight overhead. Don’t know where they came up with that but it’s always stuck with me.
Think we must of had 35/40 of the family for Sunrise Mass. Our new lay priest had the honor of spending time with mother afterwards. She enjoyed that. The rest of the day turned into pure gluttony. A combination of traditional US, German, Korean, Japanese, Pilipino and Mexican food will fill you up. And don’t you dare show favoritism for one of over the other. Found most of the brothers, nephews, some great nephews and assorted visitors hide out drinking Jack and smoking cheap stogies. Turn out to be a good day.
Today was wet and gloomy. Spend most of it in the workshop doing some woodworking and cleanup. Leftover ham and turkey sandwiches with tamales and kimchi for lunch. Don’t get much better.
This is like the never ending progression. As we get older we keep getting heavier and have to get stringer. I like it.
This sounds like an amazing day!
Is that an exact number, as in 35 out of 40 family members showed up? Or is it an estimate of between 35 to 40, because it was such a large crowd it was hard to count…!!!
That was just my estimate of how many were there. The family’s a lot bigger than 40. My mother has 6 sons,15 grandchildren, 39 greats, and a bunch of great-greats. Then you throw in daughter in laws, etc it gets hard to keep track of.
Awesome!
