So while NCAA Football 2005 is keeping me calm, I’m eagerly awaiting for the new Madden. Not really looking for advice or answers, just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are to the Madden series and who they like to use or whatever other information you may want to give out.
I always always ALWAYS reserve Madden games months ahead of time. I love the series, and this year is the 15 year anniversary and I’m getting the collector’s edition :P. Its basically the only video game I play.
I used to like NCAA until I got my ass handed to me on the PS2 last night. It was terrible, I let some jack ass take Louisville into the Swamp and beat me 14-3.
I heard that ESPN NFL2K5 was really pretty good too, and that’s out now. I think its only like 20 bux too!
Yea I reserved my copy. This is the only game i buy year after year, and it never disapoints. I am also getting the collectors edition. (anyone else remember Madden 94?) Hella Fun game, and If any of you guys have the internet thingy, my name is BigWall.
NFL2K5 is ok, but the real game is madden. Who plays NFL2K? NOBODY! lol sorry maybe its just T.O being on the cover but i am not liking that game.
I got ESPN Football today. Fantastic and only 20 bucks.
i have been playing NCAA 2005 and I think this years willl beat madden out just like it did last year.
The deffence on lat years madden was horrible. The NCAA game seems to have a more realistic D.
The D backs Cover so much better in NCAA 2005 then any other football game I have ever seen.
Started a season with the Trojans and we are dewstroying people but the most amount of points I put up so far has been 21.
Hopefully this years Madden they play D. Hopefully the D backs actually stay with there man.

Madden is a great game, but I discovered its even better on PC (especially if you have a nice system). The graphics are MUCH sharper and game play is much faster also. PS2 is just too slow after playing on PC (plus the online match-ups are fun). The X-Box version is not bad either.
I went out and got a $20 USB controller, plug it into my PC and I am ready to rock!

Nice! You can get controllers for your computer? If I woulda known that I wouldn’t have spent 600+ bucks on my ps2+all the hookup crap when the ps2 came out!
Yeah man… I was reading about this new madden. .you can charge your hits up and knock people out, create more fumbles, and just straight up injure more people. I love working the off season with the salary caps and signing bonuses, I loved how they added that in last year’s game. I also heard that the tackling this year is going to be a lot more realistic… For example, in this year’s game you can gang tackle… YEs sir… I’m going to have to create myself… 99 everything…haha… that shit is crazy. I can’t wait to trade for all the pimp ass rookies. I do that every year. Yep, I’ll get the most overrated team on the game, trade away all the high salaried people and get the pimp rookies like Winslow, Sean Taylor, and Deangelo Hall… Speed kills on madden… Can’t wait… T-M@tt
Nothing like trying to read a post at work while a girl is playing with her boobies. “No really boss, I’m just reading about video games.” I am so pumped for Madden 05. I love NCAA and have already finnished my first season in my dynasty. Go UTES! I am excited for all the new add-ons to the franchise mode on Madden. When the game comes out we’ll have to have a T-Nation online tournement.
I’m doing the same thing, lol. No boss, this isn’t porn I swear. Madden is pretty much the sun in my video game universe. Talking smack while playing head to head adds to the fire. If we had a tournament, I would probably win so there’s no need to have one (That’s a challenge).

You guys are making me jealous since my PS2 is busted right now, so i can’t play Madden- I’ll bring it in this week to be repaired if it doesn’t cost 2 much. If it does I’ll get an X-box.
Madden has always been my favorite game, since i started playing it about 14-15 years ago.
Freshman year of college, i was the KING of Madden. My roommate had the only Genesis in the dorm, so in the afternoon we’d get a crowd of kids and mostly play Madden.
I was undefeated! And not only that, I had to play with those damn Atlanta Falcons to keep from running up the score. THey are the WORST team in madden history, every player was slow and it was almost impossible to prevent someone from scoring.
Good thing I scored almost every drive and could force my opponents to take long, sustained drives w/out any cheap scores.
If you absolutely NEED a first down, I recommend multiple screen passes. You’ll prob lose yardage on 1/4 to 1/2 of your attempts but rest of the time you easily gain 10+ yards per completion.
Plus, you are close to the sideline and can run out of bounds if time is short.
It’s impossible to be intercepted and it makes the D confused because they have to respect it just like they respect the run: aggressive and play tight to the line.
Then you hit them with intermediate and long passes, draws and/or trap plays where you can sometimes easily pass the first line of defense.
